Job Purpose

• The Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for a full range of activities which ensure the operational effectiveness and excellence of Hollard. The BA is the main link between business and IT and as such must have skills within both areas. Strong communication skills are required to elicit requirements, deliver solutions and resolve issues. The BA will be required to work on multiple projects concurrently and manage his/her time effectively. A friendly outlook on life with a can-do attitude.

Key Responsibilities

Process

• Analyse and define Business requirements
• Produce Business Requirements Specifications (functional, business rules, communications and other)
• Produce accurate mapping of “As is” and “To be” processes
• Assist in identifying project risks
• Track delivery of requirements and provide regular, continuous and accurate feedback to project management team
• Participation in and sign-off of user acceptance testing, pilot and production testing
• Produce User Stories (when required)

General

• Adhere to set process standards
• Define and design business solutions that meet customer requirements
• Ensure all deliverables are delivered on time, within budget, scope and quality (meeting Hollard’s quality guidelines and standards)
• Perform efficient and effective JAD facilitation with relevant project stakeholders

Teamwork

• Build and maintain meaningful relationships with stakeholders
• Coach and mentor peers/juniors

• Hollard is South Africa’s largest privately-owned insurance group. Your customers can and will range through all the business units within Hollard as well as our partners

Required Knowledge and Experience    
Required Experience (relevant or in a similar role)

• AI knowledge an advantage
• 5 or more years of Business Analysis experience
• 3 or more years within a SLDC/Agile
• Experience in the Insurance industry preferred.

Job Purpose

• The Junior Systems Product Manager provides support for product development within the Personal Lines Features Team and reports to the Senior Systems Product Manager. This entry-level position is designed for individuals beginning their careers in product management, with an emphasis on technology, systems integration, and user-oriented solutions. The role includes assisting the Systems team in delivering product features based on business and user requirements.

Key Responsibility: Cross-functional collaboration

• Supports the Systems Team in coordinating with pricing, underwriting, and other functional teams to define product requirements, set priorities for features, and contribute to product development and integration activities.

Key Responsibility: Stakeholder engagement

• Assists the Systems Team in communication and engagement with external stakeholders, including brokers and third-party vendors, to collect information, understand integration needs, and maintain collaborative working relationships.

Key Responsibility: User-centric focus

• Helps the Systems Team with administrative tasks related to user queries, compiling feedback for review by senior members to confirm that products developed on external systems are aligned with user requirements and preferences and contribute to a satisfactory user experience.

General Responsibilities:

• When required, perform any other duties necessary for the operational effectiveness of the Product Management team that is within your ability and scope.

Required Knowledge and Experience    
Required Experience

• 1 year experience in the Insurance industry
• Exposure to or experience working in Agile teams (e.g., internships, academic projects, or part-time roles)
• Familiarity with software development or system integration projects

Knowledge:

• HTML & XML (Basic): Basic understanding of HTML and XML languages

Skills:

• Communication: Clear verbal and written communication and the willingness to learn how to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyse data, interpret trends, and make data-driven decisions to inform product strategies.
