    Head of Technical Operations

    Overall Purpose

    • Reporting into the CIO, our Head of Technical Operations will play a key role in defining and shaping the Technology vision and strategy at Lula. You will be responsible for leading the technical operations team and building out the infrastructure, SRE, security, support and helpdesk competencies in alignment with Lula's technology strategy. You will be accountable for the performance, stability, continuity, security and compliance of our production infrastructure and services working in collaboration with our engineering teams, partners and third party vendors. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned technical operations leader with a proven track record of building successful teams, fostering a culture of innovation and delivering top quality operational services. This is a senior management role and will be a key member of the Technology Management team.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Articulation and delivery of a Technical Operations strategy which considers the factors of people, process and technology aligned to our technology and business strategies.
    • Contribute as a key member of the Technology Management team collaborating with all members to ensure that we deliver a world class experience to our customers.
    • Oversee the performance, stability, continuity, security and compliance of our production infrastructure and services.
    • Partner with business stakeholders to understand their support and service needs.
    • Manage key third party suppliers ensuring they are performing and delivering to SLO’s and SLA’s.
    • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to deliver against all agreed roadmaps.
    • Build, lead and mentor a high performing Technical Operations team.
    • Direct line management of managers across the infrastructure, SRE, security, support and helpdesk teams.
    • Manage budgets and operational expenditure effectively.
    • Research and implement new technologies that improve our service, support and infrastructure giving us a competitive edge.

    The Experience We're Looking For:

    • BSc Degree in Computer Science, BTech, BEng or equivalent
    • Honours and/or Master’s degree an added advantage
    • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure management, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
    • In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.).
    • In-depth experience configuring and supporting high volume and high availability cloud environments
    • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies. Experience in implementing security measures and ensuring compliance. Understanding of relevant frameworks e.g.: ISO or NIST and PCI-DSS.
    • Proficiency in ITIL-based service management practices and tools. Experience in implementing service delivery and support processes.
    • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, CISM, or similar are highly desirable.
    • Experience working closely with a product team and within an agile environment
    • Financial services and banking experience advantageous

    Talent Partner

    OVERALL PURPOSE

    • Reporting to our Talent Acquisition Manager, you'll join our team as a Talent Partner. The purpose of this role will be to secure the best talent against our hiring forecasts, while simultaneously helping us develop, optimise, and embed department specific bespoke hiring processes and strategies.
    • Our Talent Acquisition team operates with speed, delivering quality hires. Our next phase of growth requires a focus on strategic elements which include targeted sourcing strategies, process enhancements and delivery, training development and facilitation, reporting, employer branding and more.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Talent Acquisition and Attraction

    • Lead the design and continuous improvement of efficient hiring processes and sourcing strategies aligned to specific departmental headcount growth.
    • Leverage sourcing channels to attract talent, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and industry events.
    • Conduct thorough candidate assessments, interviews, and reference checks to evaluate and identify the best talent for open roles.
    • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate and stakeholder experience.

    Stakeholder Relationship Management

    • Build strategic partnerships with hiring managers offering insights on market trends, talent availability, and effective recruitment strategies
    • Consult with hiring managers to conduct kick off meetings, gaining a deep understanding of role requirements, team dynamics, cultural fit, and long-term departmental goals.
    • Regularly share progress updates and communicate transparently build credibility and influence
    • Deliver training to hiring teams

    Data Analysis and Reporting

    • Prepare and present regular department specific reports and retros on talent acquisition metrics and performance.
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve processes, quality of hire and retention.

    THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

    • Bachelor degree in a relevant HR field or equivalent
    • 5+ years experience working within an RPO environment or inhouse talent acquisition function
    • Proven experience working effectively with and managing multiple business stakeholders
    • Track record of successfully filling vacancies from entry-level through to leadership roles
    • Strong sourcing and process facilitation skills
    • Familiarity with ATS platforms and best practise for utilisation
    • Exposure to reporting and making data driven decisions
    • Strong communication and presentation skills

    Business Relationship Banker

    OVERALL PURPOSE

    • Lula is seeking a highly motivated Business Relationship Banker (BRB) to join our newly formed and dynamic Business Relationship Banking team. In this role, the BRB is responsible for strategically and operationally managing a portfolio of high-value Premium Banking and Funding clients. This role entails acquiring new clients and building strong and value adding relationships with our key clients in order to provide excellent service and recommendations on Lula products that will enable their businesses to succeed.

    • Consistently achieve high client satisfaction scores as per agreed threshold by ensuring that clients are appropriately serviced in line with our value proposition.
    • Work seamlessly with the sales support team in ensuring that they are enabled to support you in your portfolio.
    • Ensure compliance with internal standards, regulations, and legislative requirements.

    THE EXPERIENCE & SKILLS WE’RE LOOKING FOR

    • Grade 12 achieved
    • Relevant qualification in business, finance, or related field is desirable
    • 3+ years of experience with a proven track record managing high-value accounts
    • Previous experience in business banking or financial services
    • Experience working with CRM systems (Zendesk preferred)
    • Proven ability to manage an omni-channel environment
    • Familiarity with regulatory compliance in the banking sector
    • Advanced analytical skills
