    Senior Engineer

    Job Description    

    • The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for building, enhancing and maintaining products and/or systems to enable Sage’s business plans and long term objectives using the identified architecture.
    • The Senior Software Engineer will assume ownership in the design, develop and delivery of high quality products and/or systems and services that exceed customers’ or business partners’ expectations and will proactively share their own knowledge for specific technical solutions and business processes in their area of responsibility.
    • Key Responsibilities    Possess and apply a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of software development to the completion of difficult assignments.
    • Successful develop, delivery maintain high quality software (requirements, design, code, documentation, etc.)
    • Work with product managers early on to shape product definition so that it can be built in flexible, extensible, and robust way

    • Knowledge of one or more relevant programming languages, frameworks and databases
    • A rapid ‘pick up and learn approach’ that will ensure valuable contribution to any team within days of joining the team
    • Very good in spoken and written English

    Centre of Excellence Principal Consultant – HR

    Job Description    

    • The Centre of Excellence Principal Consultant is a senior member of the regional Centre of Excellence team, who collectively are responsible for delivery of Sage HR application according to best practices to support complex presales, implementations, and support escalations.
    • The Principal Consultant works with Project Managers, IT specialists, Product Managers and Developers, Sales Engineers, as well as customer project teams to provide the best solutions, within scope and budget. They have a global footprint and act both as solution and technical architect levels to define solutions and ensure regional teams apply the best design and quality standards on implementations.
    • More specifically, the Principal Consultant is responsible for the appropriate design, setup, configuration, customisation, testing, delivery, documentation, and transition to support of the solution predominantly to Business Partners who in-turn support the end customers – including technical and functional reviews. They lead and/or participate in design sessions and workshops, in all relevant project meetings and in any knowledge transfer with various other project stakeholders, internal and external.
    • The Principal Consultant will mentor other consultants and assist with training internally as well as partner and / or customer training.
    • The Principal Consultant is also involved in pre-sales to produce feasibility assessments and estimates to meet customer requirements. They proactively position value added services with the customers through Business Partner led implementations.
    • The Principal Consultant is billable and as such is responsible for the delivery and invoicing of tasks contributing towards the profitability of the Centre of Excellence.

    Key Responsibilities    

    • Stand as an expert and architect for partners and customers in their implementation efforts
    • Assist Business Partners in delivering solutions in critical implementations situations
    • Mentor Business Partners on projects from design through to delivery on technical and functional requirements
    • Occasionally participate in technical and functional requirement gathering meetings and calls
    • Participate in project meetings to support resolution of complex issues

    • Propose design for complex software solutions

    • Responsible for monthly billing aligned to the HR and Payroll stream and overall Centre of Excellence division budget
    • Manage monthly individual utilization for both billable and non-billable activities
    • Develop and maintain best practice methodology toolkits aligned with product(s) update
    • Pro-actively identify and share best practices on configuration
    • Provide expert services to the Sage Ecosystem
    • Align individual delivery to local and global strategy
    • Pro-actively identify and mitigate risks on project delivery (costs, delays, etc.)
    • Proactive on self-learning and ensure up to date with relevant HR product-based certification.

    Must have:
    Skills, know-how and experience:

    • At least 5 - 7 years HR implementation experience
    • Proficiency in most Sage applications and modules including all core ones
    • Possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills accommodating technical and non-technical audience
    • Highly focused on Partner and end-customer satisfaction
    • Ability to lead key project activities such as Discovery Sessions, Workshops, UAT, Migrations, Upgrades, etc.
    • Agile in resolutions to complex support queries
    • Ability to transfer skills and knowledge to both internal and external stakeholders
    • Ability to apply risk-based thinking
    • Demonstrate ability to participate in technical / functional community, forums and/or events
    • Ability to position commercial value of both product and service offerings

    Senior Database Administrator

    Job Description    

    • The Senior Database Administrator is responsible for the overall management of data resources including but not limited to:
    • Implementing data storage policies, procedures and standards
    • Ensure data stores remain performant, stable and secure
    • Conducting analysis, modelling of data requirements, business rules and design tasks alongside product engineering teams
    • Providing expertise and guidance to product engineering teams to support our continuous development and improvement

    Key Responsibilities    

    • maintain the performance, integrity and security of Microsoft SQL Server databases in a cloud-based environment
    • develop, manage and test back-up and recovery plans, including Disaster Recovery
    • establish the needs of users, grant and audit user access and security
    • monitor performance and manage parameters in order to provide fast responses to front-end users
    • develop, review and refine conceptual design for planned databases with the engineering teams
    • continuous refinement of the physical design to meet system storage requirements
    • maintain database servers by installing and testing new patches and versions of the database server software
    • maintain data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act
    • write and maintain relevant documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata)
    • ensure that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly
    • carry out capacity planning

    Software Automation Engineer

    Job Description    

    • Validate the functionality of the platform through the development of automated tests or manual test scenarios.
    • Check the proper functioning of the product in the modules of the platform
    • Be responsible for the conformity of the product with the specifications
    • Ensure the required level of quality of the delivered functionalities
    • Work in close relationship with teammates of the Scrum team, as well as with other R&D teams, located in different sites and countries
    • Reporting to the head of the product development team

    Key Responsibilities    

    • Be part of an Agile team and be fully engaged in applying the Scrum methodology
    • Apply the transversal quality objectives provided by the Quality team and be an ambassador of these objectives within its Scrum team
    • Design test scenarios from the specifications (user stories) defined by the Product Owner of the team in collaboration with the other members of the development team
    • Test developments provided by developers during sprints
    • Track test execution with test reports
    • Notify failures in the internal bug tracking tool (JIRA) and validate patches
    • Confirm the achievement of quality objectives, in accordance with the generic "Definition of Done" and the specific acceptance criteria defined in the Scrum team

    • Participate in product knowledge transfer, by being involved in sprint reviews (preparation and/or presentation)
    • Participate in meetings with Customer Support organized by the Product Business Analyst or Product Owner, and keep a view of the backlog of his domain

    • Ensure effective communication of QA work and any related issues

    Must have:

    • At least 3 to 5 years of hands-on product testing
    • Experience testing web applications (Intermediate level)

    • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting approach; always able to provide logical solutions and options

    • Good domain, component or product knowledge in either finance, payroll or HR fields
    • Proven experience in testing including experience in designing and implementing test artefacts and awareness of relevant automation tools
    • Knowledge of relational databases is very desirable
