    Aviation Security Specialist - (Readvertisement)

    Job Purpose    

    • To oversee the maintenance of physical security, access control policy, standards and procedures for SAAT.
    • Provide expertise and advice and deliver effective and efficient security Aviation Security (AVSEC) services to ensure security operational excellence, protection of SAAT as a national key point and integrity of the SAAT operations.
    • Ensure the protection and safeguarding of SAAT personnel and customers, aircraft and facilities, against acts of unlawful interference perpetrated on the ground or aircraft.

    Principal Accountabilities    
    Oversee delivery of the security services by the security service provider.

    • Ensure delivery of service in line with the service level agreement.

    • Contribute to the development of the SAAT’s security operational plans and initiatives to enable SAAT to protect and safeguard employees, customers, the public, aircraft and facilities against acts of unlawful interference perpetrated. 
    • Design and drive the execution of prevention measures and systems to strengthen security environment within SAAT.  
    • Collaborate with business unit to execute the SAAT's security strategy, plans, and programmes that ensure compliance with regulations and prevent, minimise, and mitigate security risks. 
    • Design and drive change initiatives to embed security culture across SAAT. 

    Aviation Security Advisory & Operations Delivery 

    • Execute SAAT’s security policies, plans, guidelines/ tools, processes, systems, protocols and procedures based on industry best practices and most recent developments that address the needs and expectations of SAAT’s strategy.
    • Assess security issues, risks, threats, and security systems to ensure the reliability and integrity of the security operations.
    • Identify and respond to any actual or potential incidents, i.e. authorised access to the security restricted identification areas or persons not following security procedures.
    • Assist in conducting aviation security investigations to identify and respond to security breaches and non-compliance.

    AIMS Analyst

    Job Purpose    

    • To produce software used to retrieve, decode, analyze aircraft data and to monitor systesm performance in ordr to achieve optimum aircraft safety and reliabilit, providing quality and timeous data to customers.

    Principal Accountabilities    

    • Investigate, plan, and prioritize production of software for Flight Data Recorder Sytems to meet customer requirements for aircraft performance analysis.

    Team Leader - Composites

    Job Purpose    

    • Perform supervision duties, control, assign and delegate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks allocated to him and his/her team ensuring maximum productivity and efficiency within the prescribed standards and regulations in the Line Station environment to meet the demands of the customer’s schedule and satisfaction.

    Finance Officer: Creditors Clerk

    Job Purpose    
    To ensure the timeous payment of suppliers by “stretching supplier payment terms” without hampering the supply of materials and services. To ensure the creation of

    • approved vendors in the system. Confirm receipt of all documents sent to the section and that they are properly approved before they can be processed for payment.

    Principal Accountabilities    
     

    • Maintain the Creditors Master File, and ensure that all amendments are in line with the proper procedures and approvals. (This should include creation of a new supplier after the Line Manager’s Approval – the system should not allow final Creditor / Supplier Amendment without the Manager’s approval / confirmation).
    • Load Vendor accounts on SAP and AMOS.
    • Liaison with Technical Materials (Supply Chain Management) and Sales & Marketing Department for all suppliers related matters.
    • Ensure that Invoices are captured in the financial system (SAP), and AMOS timeously. (immediately on receipt with the necessary expense authorisation where applicable) to contribute to raising of expenses and creditors in the correct accounting period.
    • Ensure payment on time in accordance with contracts and payment requisitions, purchase orders, expense requisition and invoices. (Ensure three way matching before payment).
    • Adhere to internal controls for the section.

    • Maintain Accounts Payable System and related interfaces to ensure reliable information to facilitate timeous payments to suppliers. 
    • Prepare Monthly Supplier / Creditor / Vendor Reconciliations, and submit to Line Manager for approval. 
    • Raise and Manage Accruals on a Monthly basis, where invoices have not been received, to contribute to valid, accurate and complete reporting. 
    • Ensure that Accruals raised are reversed on receipt of the invoice(s). 
    • Prepare / propose a request for payment of Foreign Suppliers and request foreign currency funding for payment of Foreign Suppliers through Banking and Final Accounts Section. 
    • Propose and recommend Local and Foreign Suppliers for payment. 
    • Upload local and foreign suppliers onto Standard Bank and CITI Bank for payments. 
    • Produce a Creditor Age Analysis on a Monthly basis. 
    • Ensure proper, relevant and adequate record for all payments made are maintained and retrievable as and when required. 
    • Once suppliers have been paid, send immediately the Proof of Payment and Remittance of Advice. 
    • Attend to supplier queries immediately, and provide feedback where required to the Line Manager. 
    • Produce the Upfront Payment Report on a Monthly basis for all Pro-forma payments. 
    • Contribute to Cash Flow Management by producing a Cash Flow Forecast on a Weekly and Monthly basis. (This should involve liaison with all affected parties for payment, like Human Resources, Technical Materials, etc). 
    • Liaison with Financial Officer: Bank and Final Accounts for all cash related matters. 

    General 

    • Cooperate and respond timeously to request from both Internal & External Audit; and any other Regulatory body, including Engineering, Quality Assurance, Sales & 
    • Marketing, Technical Material.

    Job Purpose    

    • Procurement of all aircraft spares and modification kits at the ultimate economical level to ensure that same are available timeously to affect maintenance on all SAA aircraft fleet and 3rd party aircraft which are contractually bound to SAA, within all regulatory authority quality and documentation requirements.

    Principal Accountabilities    

    • Procure the correct spares and modifications kits timeously and selection of the best price, delivery and quality requirements.

    Repair Administrator

    Job Purpose    

    • To control and co-ordinate the execution of contracts, component repairs, sale of surplus material, purchasing of capital and working budget items. Control and co-ordinate the execution of specific approved component repair contracts, approved component repair contracts, shipping contract, sales transactions and repair vendor selection process

    Senior Aeronautical Technician- Mechanician - (Wheels and Brakes)

    Job Purpose    

    • The Aviation Technician will perform maintenance inclusive of servicing, self-inspecting, repairs, overhaul, testing, basic trouble shooting and modifications to aircraft engines, airframes and components in accordance with task cards, check sheets and work instructions, complying with SAAT Manufacturers and regulatory authority requirements to SAA and customer aircraft.

    Principal Accountabilities    

    • Perform servicing, inspections, repairs, overhauls, maintenance, testing, trouble shooting and modifications to aircraft components on time in accordance with regulatory authority requirements. 
    • Operate support and specialized test equipment and ensure correct and serviceable tooling is obtained and utilized to perform overall/maintenance of components as per approved documentation. 
    • Inspect conditions of parts/components as per applicable regulatory authority requirements and institute corrective actions when required. 
    • Plan and process parts 
    • Perform all reasonable tasks requested by Senior Licence Technician/Production Leader and comply with work instructions manual. 
    • Feedback to Senior Licence Technician/Production Leader on technical discrepancies and daily progress activities to ensure that productivity and safety standards are met. 
    • Optimize and improve utilization of equipment 
    • Complete and stamp all relevant documentation pertaining to each task and in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements. 
    • Provide technical assistance in other areas 
    • Attend meetings/training/workshops as requested i.e. production meetings, safety, green area meetings etc. 
    • Prepare the work area as per manufacturers requirements and policies and procedures to ensure safe working environment. 
    • Return all tooling equipment to stores and clean work area on completion of task 
    • Issue and return of tooling/test benches in AMOS 
    • Moving of serviceable spares to main stores after workshop finalization 
    • Creation of repair documentation after components received in the work area 
    • Filling of repair documentation and work pack in the archives after components were released into service and retrieve work pack 
    • Order their own spares, collect them from main stores and create GT/3 spares list for their components allocated to them 
    • Clean and prepare their components for processing 
    • Moving spares to repair cycle or between workshops

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • Completed an Aviation Apprenticeship and passed Trade Test (Trade applicable to position above) and have 2 years’ experience in a Wheel and Brake workshop environment.
    • Current AME license (copy must submitted) - will be ADVANTAGEOUS
    • Approvals under EASA list of Certifying staff will be advantageous
    • Must be PC literate (AMOS and MS Office)
    • Driver’s license Code B
