    Software Test Analyst (Ndabeni)

    Description

    A vacancy exists for an experienced Software Tester, Paterson Grade C3 in our IT development team. You have an opportunity to work on innovative technology, be part of a dynamic and supportive team and help shape the future digital landscape of blood services.

     Purpose of the Job

    The Software Test Analyst participates in our Agile software development process by analysing application requirements, design documents, epics and user stories, developing comprehensive test structures and test plans, executing tests and analyses results so that software solutions meet business expectations.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and enhance the WCBS IT Quality Assurance Framework
    • Review, analyse and evaluate business requirements
    • Help design scalable & flexible systems and improvements
    • Define testing strategy, scope and approach
    • Develop and document effective test plans, scripts and test cases
    • Implement automated testing processes and solutions
    • Execute all aspects of testing of software products
    • Maintain and manage testing results and corrective actions

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements and Responsibilities

    • National Diploma / Degree in Computer Science / Information Systems
    • ISTQB Advanced Level Certification
    • 5 years proven software testing experience
    • Agile development methodology Experience (advantageous)
    • Excellent verbal, written & interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with the organization, project & development teams
    • Ability to work well in a team environment
    • Experience with Test Automation Frameworks (advantageous)

    IT Intern (Ndabeni)

    Description

    • The Western Cape Blood Service is a non-profit organisation whose mission is to collect, process and distribute blood and blood products of the highest standards in the Western Cape.
    • Do you have a recent IT Degree or National Diploma?  Do you want an opportunity to learn about different aspects of IT operations, from End User Support to Information Security?
    • If so, a Fixed-Term contract opportunity has arisen for an IT Intern to join a dynamic IT Department and which operates at the highest level of professionalism and responsibility.

    Purpose of the Job

    • To maintain and support the ICT environment
    • To install, maintain and support the End User Computing Environment.
    • To implement and support third-party applications.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Attend to and resolve IT Calls logged within the specified SLAs, while aiming to minimise operational impact or downtime
    • Prepare, Install, Support and Maintain IT infrastructure
    • Perform infrastructure administration by carrying out regularly scheduled and ad-hoc tasks
    • Perform Initial Investigation of security and privacy-related incidents

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements and Responsibilities

    • Recently completed National Diploma / Degree in Information Systems
    • Code B Drivers’ License without endorsements is essential
    • Microsoft, A+, or N+ certification advantageous
    • Experience with Microsoft Windows and office applications
    • Knowledge of desktops/laptops and peripheral hardware
    • Basic understanding of Information Security principles
    • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work well in a team environment
