    Millwright Artisan

    A day in the life of...

    • Carry out the planned maintenance required on plant. 
    • Incumbent has to be pro-active and prevent breakdowns on his/her patrols and shows initiative to continuously improve equipment performance.  
    • Install, service, repair and maintain existing and new equipment. 
    • Follow up and recommend actions to overcome and improve problems encountered. 
    • Attend to electrical faults and breakdowns in the factory. 
    • Faultfinding on PLC’s.  
    • Faultfinding on electrical machines on running processes 
    • Analyzing and investigating on re-current faults. 
    • Improve on functional ease of maintenance, cleaning, reliability of equipment
    • Analyzing and investigating on re-current faults

    What will make you successful

    • You have served an apprenticeship and qualified with a Trade Test Certificate as Fitter or Fitter & Turner 
    • You have acquired a related N3 Certificate 
    • You have in-depth knowledge of maintenance practices 
    • You have strong analytical & problem- solving skills 
    • Minimum 3 years experience in related field 
    • FMCG experience would be advantageous 
    • Should be willing to work flexible shifts if required  
    • Should also be exposed packaging machines and/or industrial services. (Boilers and refrigeration)

    Demand Planner

    Position Summary

    The Demand Planner will improve the accuracy and reliability of the Demand Plan through projection of the most accurate estimate of customer demand and manage exceptions to enhance the responsiveness of the organisation's Supply Chain in fulfilling customer demand

    A day in the life of...

    As the successful candidate, a typical day will focus on:  

    • Consistently achieve sustainable Demand Plan Accuracy (DPA) improvement: (accuracy level and variability, bias balance)                                            
    • Implement improvements to Demand and Supply Planning processes and tools to deliver tangible benefits (e.g.: time savings, increased efficiencies etc.)
    • Work with Commercial Teams to generate accurate forecasts & demand plans for across the various channels of distribution.
    • Collect information and assumptions using a learning log about events, activities in relation to promotions, product launches, customer/distribution changes that form important part of demand plan.
    • Work with Regional Team to implement and ensure sustainability of SAS as a predictive tool.
    • Use Stat tools to establish baseline demand by customer by product category
    • Use sell-out-based data to determine sell-in forecast.
    • Consolidate generated numbers from pre-MSR and share with Decision Support for Cluster 1 & 2 and maintain in SAP APO
    • Drive NPDI process tasks for SC and align with the region to ensure timely launch of new products.
    • Lead the implementation of the Simplified Monthly Business Planning process (S-MBP) for the Business Unit according to the roll-out plan.

    What will make you successful

    • Degree in Supply Chain/Commercial Degree/Industrial Engineering
    • Have experience with SAP and Power BI
    • Must have strong excel skills
    • Must have strong analytical and numerical skills
    • Minimum 2 years or more relevant experience
    • Exceptional communication skills in a high-level business setting
    • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence other
    • System planning experience advantageous i.e., SAP APO, SAS

    Instrument Technician

    As an Instrumentation Technician, you will be working to drive improvements in the performance of machinery and assets, reporting to the Automation Engineer on a daily basis. The factory is moving forward with continuous improvement principles and actively developing TPM processes so it’s an exciting time to be involved and it is expected that you will play a key part in this.

    You will be responsible for the calibration / maintenance of instrumentation onsite to ensure we are 100% compliant with food safety standards. Attending to instrumentation faults and breakdowns in the factory as well as calibration of all equipment and instrumentation (Metal detectors/Xray/etc) are some of the main duties.

    • Calibration of all CCP equipment and instrumentation (Metal detectors/Xray/etc)
    • Repair and maintain all aspects of date coding equipment
    • Faultfinding and programming on instrumentation equipment, PLC’s and VSD,s
    • Ensure machine availability for production targets to be met

    What will make you successful

    • Previous experience on instrumentation is essential (min 1-5 years)
    • N6 in Instrumentation Technician
    • Be able to read Engineering drawings
    • Be able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders
    • Demonstrate a sense of urgency whilst never compromising safety or product quality
    • Experience of hazardous area ratings and installations
    • Knowledge of controls systems, data interfaces and communications protocols.
    • Leadership skills are critical i.e. facilitation skills in leading team meetings & coaching and mentoring of production staff on instrumentation equipment
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Strong analytical & problem solving skills
    • FMCG background essential

    SHE Manager

    Position Summary

    Support & advise the Factory Management team in all aspects of Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) with a strong focus on implementing Market-level initiatives, including developing & driving site initiatives leading to continuous improvement in SHE performance in line with the Nestlé Continuous Excellence mindset of zero accidents and incidents; and compliance to Nestlé and relevant legal requirements.

    A day in the life of a SHE Manager

    Strategic                                          

    • Direct and co-ordinate the development and implementation of the sites's SHE strategy & program. Recommend factory SHE objectives considering Market and Corporate objectives. Monitor and communicate on performance to improve decision making regarding SHE and to integrate SHE into business decisions.
    • Implement, control, maintain and improve the Site SHE Management systems including achieving and maintaining ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 certification. Support this through developing and implementing specific plans, tools and initiatives as part of the Factory's SHE program as well as exercising functional leadership of the TPM SHE pillar.
    • Ensure that the site’s SHE risks are identified and assessed as the Risk Assessment Team leader, and assist in establishing the necessary mitigation or contingency plans.                                 

    Operational                                         

    • Establish the different specialized safety related teams (Fire and Evacuation Team, First Aid teams, Hazmat, Risk Assessment teams and Crisis Committees) as required to respond to particular issues.
    •  Ensure that SHE incident investigations are conducted, the root causes are identified, and the follow-up actions are completed. Advise Management about preventive and corrective measures. 
    • Assist the Factory Engineer with the establishment of the SHE related investment and operational budgets for the site.
    • Contribute to the elaboration and implementation of a safety concept in construction and/or installation projects, and ensure that all contractors who perform work on the site comply with all Nestlé SHE requirements and have completed necessary documentation. 
    • Conduct SHE internal audits, cross-audits of other sites and/or Markets and service provider/supplier/contractor SHE audits.   Ensure that all work is carried out according to the SHE Policies, standards and procedures, by implementing and maintaining a behavioural based SHE (BBSHE) program on the site.

    What will make you successful

    • BTech in Safety or Environmental Management or Engineering
    • Five (5) years experience industrial SHE management.
    • NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
    • SAMTRAC (Safety and Management Training Course) – Integrated SHE System.
