Job Description

• To ensure that bladders and moulds are changed according to capacity on a daily basis.
• To maintain and care for equipment, machinery, tools and  materials etc. for example, curing presses, moulds, bladders, tools, etc.
• To use relevant machinery and forklifts in a safe manner according  to the quality and production requirements.
• To ensure that all components used and or installed comply to all  quality standards.
• To maintain good housekeeping practices in order to prevent  contamination of products and prevention of accidents.
• Fault finding, mould set up checks, tapping damaged threads, small engineering repairs, etc. 

Qualifications

• Qualified artisan (fitter).

Job Description
MAINTENANCE

• Assist with breakdowns in all disciplines and troubleshooting on production machines
• Identify possible hardware and software breakdowns using the departmental/machine systems and pre-PM inspection checklist
• Predictive and preventative maintenance on departmental machines as well as machine control systems
• Machine ownership
• Departmental ownership.

IMPROVEMENTS

• Provide machine improvements to increase quality/production levels and to reduce breakdowns
• Implement improvements in-line with pareto and root cause analysis
• Maximum machine availability
• Pursue energy saving projects
• Responsible for PLC system adaptations, upgrades, and software modifications.

REPORTS

• Prepare reports and make recommendations for improving department operations and solving maintenance-related problems
• Do pareto analysis/root cause analysis and reports on repetitive machine related problems
• Report in detail on performed work in SAP-PM
• Validation and report on Control systems modifications.

SYSTEMS MANAGEMENTS

• Manufacturing Execution Systems, implementation, upgrades, system enhancements and troubleshooting at machine level
• IPC Management and upgrades. Setting up new IPC's and integrating into network, configuring and set-up of machine specific software
• Adhere to back-up and restore procedures and control system recovery
• Change Management- Coordinate, Implement, Validate (test) and documenting of Software change requests on Control System Software in area.

BUSINESS UNIT

• Give full support to all other business unit partners.
• Maintain KPI’s.

HR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Comply with disciplinary procedures as per Company code of conduct.  
• Update daily attendance and time keeping.

ESH

•  follow the internal ESH work instructions in the daily work;
• demonstrate exemplary personal behaviour in ESH and motivate others;
• ensure immediate notification and response, and initiate preventive measures in case of unsafe or polluting hazards.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (In addtion a fitter and turner trade test will be advantageous)

Job Description
MAINTENANCE

• Mechanical maintenance & troubleshooting on Mould Equipment, maintenance of all moulds, containers and related tooling and equipment to a satisfactory operating condition by providing for systematic inspection, detection, and correction thereof.
• Mould standardisation and compliance with Central Mould Engineering.
• Attend to mould related breakdowns in the curing department.
• Predictive and preventative maintenance on departmental machines and equipment.

IMPROVEMENTS

• Efficiency improvements to increase quality/production levels and to reduce breakdowns.
• Pursue energy saving projects.

MOULD MANAGEMENT

• Performs the tasks of mould inventory systems for all mould assets (Storage, Production, Outsourced Repairs / Modifications, Mould Transfer).
• Performs the tasks of Accurate use of Continental mould management systems and release of moulds to production (Mould Preparations).
• Performs the tasks of and follows an effective mould cleaning program. Performs the tasks to maximise mould availability as per mould schedule.

REPORTS

• Prepares shift handover reports and makes recommendations for improving department operations and solving mould-related problems.
• Report in detail on performed work in SAP-PM. Performs Mould Preparation Reports.
• Give full support to all other business unit partners.

• Comply with the Company's Environmental Health and Safety procedures and Regulations, to safeguard self, other personnel, and equipment.

ESH -

• Follow the internal ESH work instructions in the daily work;

Qualifications

• Qualified Fitter (Trade Test) 
• 3-5 Years experience as a qualified Fitter
