    Intern for Applications Support

    Qualifications

    • Relevant Diploma/ Degree in Information Technology or Computer Studies

    Experience

    • None

    Key Performance Areas

    Applications Support:

    • Assist with 1st line support and 2nd line support relating to Applications and IT operations
    • Assist in the day-to-day queries of staff on systems and databases
    • Identify and resolve technical problems
    • Assist with disaster recovery runs supporting Applications
    • Assist with Applications report
    • Set up applications as per requirements and processes on need basis
    • Provide assistance to manage Service Level Agreements with suppliers and ensure deliverable are satisfactory relating to applications.
    • Provide support to Agent companies relating to Policy Holder Data system, CWP and Claims Managements Systems (CMS)

    Perform ad hoc tasks:

    • Perform any reasonable ad hoc tasks as and when required by the Line Manager and Service level Manager.

    Information and Records Management Intern

    Qualifications

    • Matric
    • Tertiary qualification (degree/diploma) in Library Science, Information Science or Related Records Management qualification

    Key Performance Area

    Information and Records Administration:

    • Assist with the appraisal and disposition of public records.
    • Assist with setting up Registries (Records Management Units and Records Centre storages)
    • Assist in the implementation of the various file plans
    • Assist with Retrieval of documents from offsite storage
    • Assist with Requested from Archives (Offsite storage)
    • Assist with update of document registers in the in-house document facility
    • Assist with IRM Regulatory requirements and controls

    IT Governance Support

    GRC Reporting

    Network Specialist Intern

     Minimum Qualifications

    • Completed a diploma/degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Network Function Operations: Network maintenance and optimization.

    • First line support for IT related incidents

    Project Management Intern

     Minimum Qualifications

    • Degree/Advanced Diploma in engineering, commerce, IT or project management

    Advantageous:

    • Prince2 Practitioner certification
    • AgilePM Practitioner certification
    • Any other project management certifications

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Monitor and verify the delivery of project deliverables

    • Co-ordinate and participate in project meetings and workshops
    • Source workshop venue and arrange catering, equipment and facilities
    • Take minutes, type minutes and distribute timeously to relevant stakeholders
    • Maintain project schedule
    • Establish and maintain the projects defined process

    Process Analyst Intern

    Minimum Qualifications

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Process Analysis

    • Assess, configure, analyse, and document business processes.
    • Assist in analysing existing business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
    • Document current processes using, BPMN and EPC process maps.
    • Work with process engineer to identify process improvement solutions.
    • Assist in designing and testing new processes and monitoring their effectiveness post-implementation.
    • Collaborate with various departments to gather information, process and activity details, and understand process challenges.

    Internal Audit Intern

    Minimum Qualifications

    • BSc (Computer Science) or,Bcom/ 3 yrs National Diploma Internal audit/ finance or,equivalent degree/ 3 yrs National Diploma qualification.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Sasria Departments or Agent Company Internal Audits

    Assist with performing IT internal audit work as assigned for:

    • Sasria Departments and/ or Agent Companies’ IT Internal Audit divisions

    Provide advisory services through:

    • Audit recommendations
    • Ad hoc projects
    • Participation in Risk Management sessions (RCSAs)
    • Provide input where IT risk management processes and controls can be improved

    Technical auditing

    • Assists in identifying and evaluating the risk areas in the organisation
    • Assist with review on the adequacy and effectiveness of controls using flow charts and other methods of evaluation;
    • Assist in the development of audit programs or procedures by identifying risks and controls matrix (RACM) for the area to be audited;
    • Completion of all working papers in accordance with the IT audit methodology
    • Understand and adhere to client and staff relationships through individual contacts and group meetings; and
    • Pursues professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association memberships, and where possible be able to share information gained with co-workers.

    Represents internal audit  as and when required on:

    • Company project teams;
    • External assurance providers or organisations.

    Training and Support

    • Active involvement in development of own skills, through agreeing performance development plan with the IT Senior Auditors and the Senior IT Audit Manager to improve or maintain the following skills:
    • Negotiating and problem solving skills;
    • Effective verbal and written communication, including active listening skills and skill in presenting findings and recommendations by audit staff; and
    • Establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers, staff and external contacts.
