    Scrum Master

    Role Purpose

    • The Scrum Master plays a crucial part in ensuring the success of our Digital Operating Model; helping us to become a leading digital company
    • The Scrum Master is a servant leader to the DevOps delivery team, coaching agile methods, and providing support and facilitation to increase velocity and team productivity
    • This role is responsible for identifying risks, dependencies, and impediments, leading the team and business in finding a solution, coordinating with other teams and functional partners, and actively escalating when needed to ensure resolution
    • This role is responsible for keeping a pulse on needs and insights from stakeholders and other initiatives, regularly communicating status, changes in direction, and relevant metrics to avoid misalignment and roadblocks 

    Your responsibilities will include

    • Support the Product Owner in ensuring right-sized story writing, aligning priorities, and planning sprint iterations
    • Coach team members on Agile methods and technical practices (e.g., CI/CD, TDD, etc.)
    • Track and manage risks and issues of the delivery team
    • Track and report on current status of all team members and the delivery
    • Facilitating key agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives
    • Monitor and optimize agile processes and practices
    • Promote continuous improvement through retrospectives and team learning
    • Coordinate with other delivery teams, stakeholders, and partners to manage risks, interdependencies, and impediments to the team

    The ideal candidate for this role will have

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or  other related field
    • A total of at least five to eight years relevant experience of which at least three years needs to be as a Scrum Master or Product Owner with agile teams
    • Experience in designing and delivering complex digital capabilities
    • Experience leading teams using agile methodologies in large-scale teams
    • Certified Agile coach, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFeCertified Scrum Master or similar
    • Experience working with agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, XP, TDD, and BDD
    • Certifications in traditional Project Management practices, e.g., Prince 2, PMP preferred
    • Is a role model for best practices in Agile process execution, motivating other team members to do the same 
    • Ability to continue to monitor, learn, and implement industry best practices from the agile community 
    • Natural "servant" leader, with strong ability to coach and develop others, an inherent entrepreneurial spirit, and focuses on ever-improving team dynamics and performance 
    • Viewed by the wider organization as an effective and consistent collaborator, influencer, and negotiator, able to highlight internal and external dependencies and break down complex blockers
    • Excellent stakeholder management and communications skills, with the ability to inspire, influence, and update delivery teams and  senior executives

    Principal Specialist : Fixed and Mobile

    Role Purpose

    The Principal Specialist: Fixed and Mobile Operations role based within Vodacom Business Fixed and Mobile.

    • This role will be for the Fixed and Mobile Operations area in the Fixed and Mobile Line of Business and will be responsible for the following: 
    • Participating with Interlock Sessions across the different segments/verticals/industries and understanding of operational issues and finding resolution.
    • Provide insights and action plans across product portfolios including customer segment views for Converged Offerings
    • Participation in key acceleration projects/initiatives and driving operational business process improvements
    • Submit comprehensive Requirements Definition Specification on behalf of the business 
    • Strong focus on Agile Practices, Program Increment (PI) and driving delivery of technical capabilities with Vodacom Business IT teams
    • Provide input into Product Business Cases
    • Supporting the sales channels to sell the service in customer and partner engagements
    • Drive uptake and report on revenue of Converged offerings
    • Be the key contact person in Vodacom Business for all Terminals/Device related issues
    • Participate in all the OEM Ranging sessions arranged by Terminals and identify key business propositions
    • Identifying device trends and presenting new device ranges to Sales Teams.
    • Management of slow moving and obsolete stock within Vodacom Business
    • Own the Device Management and Operating Rhythm process for Vodacom Business
    • Assist Sales Channels with all Device Management queries, management of forecasts and perform Supply- Demand Balancing.
    • Lead, define, drive and support excellence in operational execution and execution of new propositions and delivery in line with Fixed and Mobile Strategy.
       

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Be able to make key operational decisions with Product and Sales Heads
    • Lead teams from all functions to deliver segment/vertical plans  and improvement initiatives
    • Run and Management Device Management, Demand Planning and Forecasting for Vodacom Business
    • Have the ability to make key business decisions around delivery of requirements from IT
    • Deal performance reporting to stakeholders in deals review
    • Engage with Group and other Vodafone markets to identify potential new differentiated propositions for development within Vodacom Business Fixed and Mobile.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Good understanding of the Vodacom Enterprise Products and Services
    • Strong acumen in business analysis, project management and operation execution and excellence
    • Business Process Improvements
    • A clear understanding of working in a large multinational matrix organisation, with a demonstrable ability to make things happen across multiple stakeholders
    • Self-starter and self-motivator
    • Customer Experience: Ability to make critical decisions on key insights and control the device management end to end for Vodacom Business.
    • Commercial experience: Experience in Channel sales and demand preferably with additional experience in an operational (sales or customer operations) function.


    Must have technical / professional qualifications: 

    • BComm Degree 
    • 6 + years  proven experience in the ICT (Telco) industry with a focus on Operations, Business Improvements and Device Management
    • Negotiation and commercial acumen
    • Qliksense experience is preferential
    • People Management experience – 2 years

    Commercial Manager

    Role Purpose

    The Commercial Manager role is based in the Enterprise Business Unit

    The purpose of the Commercial Manager role is to lead, manage and develop commercial proposals whilst structuring and managing pricing and commercial negotiations for complex, managed service and global connectivity opportunities in a timely manner whilst creating new and innovative commercial propositions by ensuring customer needs are addressed as well as Vodacom’s key financial requirements considered
     

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Development of Vodacom pricing strategy based on a keen understanding of the company’s capabilities, positioning, and market dynamics.
    • Development of standardised pricing models, processes, and assumptions to deliver on profitability targets, whilst enabling the sales teams to compete effectively in the market.
    • Develop practical commercial solutions, and guide pricing analysts in doing so, in collaboration with sales, bid management, service and finance to meet customer requirements.

    Key performance indicators:

    • Swift analysis of information and articulation of the results to key stakeholders
    • Ownership of process documentation and communication of, as well as ensuring best practice is applied to pricing methodologies and operations
       

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Proven track record of developing commercial & pricing strategies
    • Proven track record of managing and developing staff
    • Proven experience in customer facing environment, with ability to clearly articulate commercial impacts of actions and decisions
    • Strong analytical decision-making skills, including the ability to balance conflicting interests and make decisions based on incomplete or unreliable information
    • Ability to establish networks with individuals in all functions and to influence and coach stakeholders with logical, rational analysis and clear explanations.

     

    Must have technical / professional qualifications:

    • Matric Certificate essential
    • Relevant financial / managerial tertiary qualification essential, e. g. CA(SA), ACMA, MBA
    • Understanding of ITIL Standards and principles desirable
    • Minimum 3 years relevant experience

    COPS International Business

    Description

    Role purpose: 
    Responsible for the Customer Operations and commercial relationships in Vodacom International Business with a focus to deliver on (Customer Care (CBU/EBU); Digital, Customer Experience (CXX) and Measurement Enablement and Transformation (MET) in the operating companies (Opcos). 

    Job Responsibility

    Key accountabilities and decision ownership: 

    • Monitor key output/performance indicators across Opcos (NPS; first call resolution; volume reduction, response service levels, ENPS, digital deflection.) in line with targets and assist to drive performance and recommend corrective action as required
    • Provide regular progress reports, dashboard management performance against performance indicators 
    • Drive performance improvement and alignment with best practice and drive operational performance improvement (process, financial, service target enhancement) across all opcos
    • Via VSA channels and networks, apply the relevant benchmarks to determine and track performance indicators for the opcos
    • Stay abreast and drive implementation of new technology/frameworks through networking with other contact centre professionals
    • Monitor on-going performance of improvements and enhancements and provide progress/feedback
    • Determine root causes of all persistent or high impact problems
    • Facilitate collaboration between VSA COPS and Opco COPS teams on various projects and the following strategic projects:
    • Customer Care (CBU/EBU)
    • Digital and CXX
    • Measurement Enablement and Transformation (MET)
