    Senior Specialist: SCM Technology

    Role purpose:

    • To deliver optimal cost of ownership for regional & local categories (or categories), savings targets in line with the savings methodology and agreed value add targets and measures while securing the delivery of projects, goods, and services across the local category (or categories).
    • The role holder will be responsible for the delivery of regional & local level 3 category strategies and inputting into global category strategy development as required. They will be expected to support the gathering of requirements as required and support the publication of tender and other related documents and category strategy (or strategies).
    • The role holder will be responsible for management and development of regional & local supplier relationships.
    • The role holder will be responsible for internal stakeholder management and the compilation of sourcing strategy based on the business requirements, analysis and presentation of the data gathered, and development of the contractual relationship between internal and supplier stakeholders.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Impact on the business:

    • Manages delivery of local and regional level 1 category strategies, spending and savings targets (Network Site Infrastructure)
    • Manages local & regional relationships with key category suppliers and where required leads local & regional relationships across categories

    Budget holders, suppliers, and third parties:

    • Leads negotiation and conclusion of contracts with suppliers on local agreements working with Legal and internal stakeholders to ensure business requirements are met

    Leadership and teamwork:

    • Manage the activities of the agile team, providing coaching and development.
    • Responsible for ensuring budget holders requirements are defined and reflected in the Category Strategy and related contracts

    Innovation and change:

    • Provides input into defining innovative local category strategies.
    • Drive digitization in the SCM to drive simpler and more efficient sourcing processes and information management.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Matric/Grade 12 is essential.
    • 3-year relevant degree/diploma in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Information Technology
    • Minimum of 5+ years relevant experience in the fields of procurement, SCM, Telecommunications or Information and Communications Technology.
    • Successful management of agile teams
    • Experience of working in virtual and international teams
    • Proven track record of delivery against challenging targets and/or projects

    • Strong analytical skills in operations and finance
    • Well-developed written and verbal communication and presentation skills
    • Demonstrable commercial and negotiation skills

    Portfolio Manager Vodatrade

    Role Purpose

    • To manage a team of Product Managers and technical to develop portfolio-specific products, and participate in the definition/development of the portfolio strategy whilst ensuring that the company-wide targets are being met.
    • As the Product Expert within the VodaTrade team, you will be responsible for understanding the core needs of all current and new customers on the VodaTrade platforms and translating these opportunities to drive the overall prioritization and commercialization strategy for VodaTade solutions.
    • Enabling digital trade within the formal and main market is a strategic drive for VFS, therefore you will build the VodaTrade strategy to expand the current formal landscape and enable the main market by incorporating other VFS joint product initiatives. You will need to collaborate with other VFS stakeholders and customers to identify the opportunities to enable a strategy to drive growth and financial inclusion.

    Your Responsibilities Will Include

    • To analyze and manage a portfolio of VodaTrade products, applications and solutions.
    • Develop and lead the VodaTrade strategic product roadmap driven by in-depth analysis of customer needs, customer strategies, market trends and VFS synergies.
    • To understand the evolving needs in the environment and define a portfolio strategy to address those needs.
    • To compile a strategy and implementation roadmap in accordance with the VFS group strategy
    • Own KPI’s relating to the VodaTrade P&L
    • Lead a product and technical team who translates business requirements into developed features to enable the strategic roadmap.
    • Maintain and establish business and technical relationships with new/existing partners
    • Develop key partnerships to expand product offering.
    • Own key stakeholder relationships with VFS product managers, VFS Business Development Managers, Vodacom Business Sales, Vodacom Business Project and Technical Teams to ensure strategic alignment and delivery.
    • Align Sales, Marketing, go-to-market and Product goals, processes, resource allocation and priorities with the VodaTrade strategy

    The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

    Must have technical/professional qualifications:

    • Completed relevant 3-year Business or Technical degree or National diploma essential.
    • At least 8 years of relevant experience in management consulting, product management, platforms
    • Minimum 2 Years Of Product Management Experience
    • Minimum 2 years experience in managing a portfolio of products and services.

    • Expert understanding of the B2B, mobile including platform ecosystems
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to minimize overhead tasks for the team and manage interdependences with other teams

    • Strong time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple balls, and comfortable working under pressure

    • Experience engaging and influencing C-level executives
    • Strong commercial acumen across digital industries with the ability to coordinate legal, technical and commercial teams to develop and close high-profile partnerships
    • Track record of partner account management, relationship building and commercial management skills
    • Strong project management, organizational, and planning skills in order to delegate and juggle multiple tasks, make sense of a sea of information, and layout strategies relevant to business growth
    • Outstanding research and analytical abilities in order to identify products strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to think strategically and see the big picture while knowing how to execute tactically.
