Minimum Requirements:
Be in possession of a relevant Tertiary Qualification (Diploma / Degree)
Have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the ICT environment with a 3-year proven track record in a senior supervisory level preferably in the mining or related industries
Preferably be SAP-certified or have previous working knowledge of the SAP HCM module with prior exposure to SuccessFactors
Functional knowledge of the HR value chain and supporting HR business processes
Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment

Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall management and day to day operations of the Human Resource Management and Sustainable Development systems landscape within the South African Region
Manage ongoing delivery of Human Resource Management and Sustainable Development systems and support services to the business
Management of outsourced vendors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure appropriate service level agreements are in place and targets are regularly reported on and managed
Regularly review, assess, and adapt the Human Resource Management and Sustainable Development systems strategy and long-term objectives to support the evolving business requirements of the operation
Management of the governance, risks, compliance, architecture, standards and security pertaining to the Human Resource Management and Sustainable Development systems environment
Ensure adherence to the approved group systems architecture, standards and policies but also influence and champion components of the group standards and policies where relevant
Participate in relevant ICT management meetings and report on regional Human Resource Management and Sustainable Development systems service delivery, financials, project delivery, governance, risks, security, compliance, and people management to the regional ICT manager
Compilation and management of capital and maintenance budgets for the Human Resource Management and Sustainable Development systems function
Planning, forecasting and management of the Human Resource Management and Sustainable Development systems financials with strong focus on cost optimisation whilst continuously improving service delivery
Planning and implementation of Human Resource Management and Sustainable Development systems projects within agreed budgets and timeframes for the region
Ensures that the appropriate solution architectures, with associated functional and technical services, are put in place and maintained
Assessing business needs and identifying the possible use of new and innovative Human Resource Management and Sustainable Development systems and technologies with tangible business cases
Maintain up to date knowledge of emerging technology trends and new developments
Ensure that ICT management and relevant senior functional management are aware of technology trends and developments and advise them on the commercial implications
Building and leveraging the Human Resource Management and Sustainable Development systems and technology vendor communities within the region
Minimum Requirements:
Be in possession of a Grade 12 Certificate.
Be in possession of a Degree/National Diploma in Health and Safety Management: Advantageous
Completed COMSOC 1 and 2 Certification.
Be in possession of a trade certificate and at least 3 years’ appropriate trackless mining experience.
Be computer literate and competent in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite.
Have relevant knowledge of the Mine Health & Safety Act (Act 29 of 1996).
3 years’ shaft and trackless experience.
Have a good understanding of the ISO 45001:2018 Safety Management Standard.
Be in possession of valid driver’s license, Code 08 (EB).

Conduct safety meetings.
Compile safety reports, risk assessments and audits.
Train and coach subordinates.
Identify and follow up on high risk areas.
Accident or incident investigation (ICAM and RCAT).
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Manage, implement and evaluate compliance to the Safety Management System
Compile safety statistics.
Enforce adherence to standards and procedures.
