    Technical Sales Engineer - Distribution Automation

    Description

    The opportunity

    • As a Technical Sales Engineer for Distribution Automation at Hitachi Energy, you will be responsible for promoting and selling products and automation solutions that enhance the reliability, efficiency, and sustainability of power distribution networks.
    • You will combine deep technical expertise with strong commercial skills to deliver value-driven products and solutions to utilities, industrial customers, and channel partners. This role plays a pivotal part in driving digitalization and grid modernization initiatives.

    How you’ll make an impact

    • Drive sales of Hitachi Energy’s Distribution Automation portfolio, including Distribution Automation solutions, protection relays, RTUs, and communication products.
    • Develop and execute account strategies to achieve sales targets and market share growth.
    • Identify new business opportunities and manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, product management, and service to tailor offerings to customer needs.
    • Provide technical support and solution design during pre-sales and post-sales phases.
    • Understand client requirements for distribution automation and propose suitable solutions.
    • Prepare and deliver technical presentations tailored to customer needs.
    • Collaborate with related teams to ensure compliance with customer specifications and standards (e.g., IEC 61850, DNP3).
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including utilities, industries and channel partners.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, ensuring long-term partnerships and customer satisfaction.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities.
    • Represent Hitachi Energy at events, exhibitions, and seminars.
    • Provide feedback to product teams on market needs and customer pain points to inform roadmap decisions.
    • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

    Your background

    • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Automation, or related field.
    • 5–7 years of experience in technical sales within the power distribution or automation sector.
    • Strong knowledge of distribution automation solutions, protection and control, and communication protocols.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Strong focus on understanding customer pain points and tailoring solutions accordingly.
    • Experience working with EPCs, OEMs, panel builders, Distributors and system integrators.
    • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards in the energy sector.
    • Familiarity with Distribution Automation solutions, protection relays, RTUs and communication products and solutions.
    • Experience with utility procurement processes and regulatory frameworks.
    • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling business value propositions.

    Associate Project Manager HV Service

    Description

    The Opportunity

    • We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Associate Project Manager HV Service to join our team. As a project manager you will be the Key person, responsible for multiple projects for all projects stages.

    How you will make an impact  

    • Leading the project team, establish the project execution approach and oversee project hand-over, execution planning, monitoring and control activities for both internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.
    • Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and its acknowledgement by the customer.
    • Acting as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues.
    • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ensuring the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies and defining all project plan documents, including scope and financial plans, schedule and risk management plans.
    • Ensuring that the project follows execution best practices and Hitachi Energy policies.
    • Monitoring and controlling project progress and efficient resource utilization, project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses and cash flow.
    • Identifying, qualifying, quantifying and managing project risks and ensuring that the project is formally closed out as contractually agreed.
    • Coaching and providing feedback for project staff, also organization of customer acceptance of HV Service Spare parts, products and services and work on removing defects in customer complaints and contract management.
    • You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

    Your background           

    • A bachelor’s degree in relevant field is required and technical education (preferably in electrical or energy engineering) and Project Management Qualification. Project Management PMP Certificate is an advantage.
    • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Project Management or Project Controlling in a High Voltage products and services environment.
    • Experience with project management in the energy sector or substations and knowledge of MS Office and MS Project.
    • Basic knowledge of SAP is beneficial.
    • Ability to read technical drawings and documentations.
    • Proactive, result-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills as well as reliability and ability to work under pressure
    • You are a real organizational talent, you have an analytical attitude, and you have good communication skills commercial insight and negotiation skills
    • No objection to occasional travel abroad.
    • Knowledge of various contracts (NEC3, FIDIC, etc).
    • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.

    Cybersecurity Application Assessment Service Lead

    • Oversee application onboarding, RFP responses, and tool integrations
    • Improve security assessment processes and ServiceNow workflows
    • Collaborate with IT, Legal, Governance, and Security teams
    • Maintain documentation and knowledge systems for assessments and compliance
    • Own and manage assessment solutions
    • Plan budgets, resources, and strategic development of the service

    What You Bring:

    • 10+ years of experience in IT or Cybersecurity, including 3–5 years in a leadership role
    • Strong proficiency in ServiceNow (workflows, dashboards, reporting)
    • Familiarity with tools such as OneTrust, Tenable, Lansweeper, Axonius, Azure DevOps, and Power BI
    • Solid understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST CF 2, NIST RM, CIS, UCF)
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL Foundation, CISSP) are a plus
