    Laundry Assistant

    JOB SUMMARY

    • Maintain an adequate supply of clean and infection-free linen to all CHG hospitals by washing, sorting and cleaning laundry and line.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Matric

    Minimum Experience:

    • Minimum of 1-2 years in relevant function

    DELIVERABLES

    • Ensure linen in the facility is washed, dried and folded, specifically:
    • Handle contaminated linen and laundry items per company, hospital and health and safety standards
    • Perform routine ad hoc tasks as requested by hospital management and centralized laundry services
    • Liaise with unit managers and NSM to understand demand in the facility
    • Meet quality and clinical standards for laundry used in hospitals
    • Provide feedback to centralized Laundry Manager with regards to issues raised
    • Follow the proper escalation channels for seamless issue resolution
    • Maintain laundry machinery and equipment and informs appropriate personnel of issues or maintenance needs
    • Ensure the monthly stock take is done every month and sent to the Hospital Manager and
      Laundry Manager
    • Assist in carrying out linen inventory
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues, build sound relationships and ensure good communications
    • Ensure knowledge and advice is technically accurate and provide stakeholders with relevant information to keep them informed
    • Ensure timeous resolution of queries and complaints and take ownership of issues
    • Ensure conflict resolution and respond to any complaints or concerns
    • Support skills development and transfer initiatives
    • Ensure all laundry targets are met through the proper execution of work
    • Monitor costs or expenses to achieve cost efficiencies and reduce waste
    • Extend the life of equipment, machinery, PPE and tools through good housekeeping, care and maintenance
    • Submit feedback and progress updates to line manager as requested

    Patient Services Manager

    Job Summary:

    • To plan, organise and execute the revenue cycle management at a hospital facility. The incumbent manages a team of specialists that contribute to hospital finances through accurate billing and risk mitigation processes.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelors Degree in Nursing with Anatomy and Physiology qualifications.
    • Current SANC Registration.
    • ICD and CPT Coding.
    • Computer Literacy.

    Minimum Experience:

    • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role in private healthcare.
    • ICD 10 and CPT coding.

    Added Advantage:

    • Advanced certification in CPD and ICD coding.

    DELIVERABLES:

    • Deliver on the hospital’s revenue cycle management operating plan.
    • Inspect work performed in the revenue cycle management team and ensure work is performed according to CHG quality standards.
    • Research, enable and consult on improvements and opportunities to harness technology.
    • Review existing processes and suggest innovative ideas to improve and streamline processes to drive efficiencies and minimise redundancy.
    • Ensure the development, alignment, mapping and implementation of end-to-end standard operating procedures / processes.
    • Ensure efficient management Reception, Admissions, Case Management and Billing Auditing departments.
    • Ensure revenue and collections targets are achieved by effectively the department.
    • Monitor and ensure WIP (Work-in-Progress) is within the agreed upon periods.
    • Ensure overall rejections are within the acceptable threshold.
    • Review, audit and sign off on all consignments to ensure accuracy of billing and minimisation capital loss.
    • Conduct daily EOC (End of Case) reconciliation to ensure billings are done within the allotted timeframes per funder standards.
    • Ensure case managers follow proper coding protocols to reduce rejection rates.
    • Ensure case managers maintain an up-to-date register of length of stay and update the funders regularly to ensure all services rendered are paid for.
    • Develop and implement admissions process and protocols and ensure the adherence of all admissions staff to maintain standards.
    • Ensure that all files requested and utilised are in accordance with CHG standards.
    • Review services (together with relevant stakeholders) on SAP to ensure optimisation of billings of services
    • Analyse data trends relating to rejections and short payments.
    • Lead and drive the accurate and business billing process to ensure Patient Services metric targets are achieved.

    Billings Auditor

    Job Summary:

    • To oversee the hospital’s billings process and ensure products and services received by patients aligns with the final bill. Perform accurate audits of patient files, comparing the products and services received with the itemized bill in the context of the Company’s billing requirements and contractual arrangements with Medical Schemes.

    Minimum Qualifications and experience:

    • Nursing Diploma
    • 2-3 years’ experience in Billings environment
    • Advanced Computer Literacy
    • SAP will be an advantage.

    Minimum Duties:

    • Perform Billings Auditing duties in accordance with the Clinix Health Groups standard and procedure.
    • Adhere to the principles and standards of patient advocacy according to the Clinix Health Groups
    • Review and analyze reports as a management tool, to identify negative trends and implement corrective action.
    • Audit patient files as per Company requirements (and standards) and in accordance with the Company contracts with Medical Schemes
    • Perform End of Case on the approved system
    • Ensure the accurate maintenance of supplier invoices.
    • Efficient management of Billing processes by Specific to private patients, final bill invoices on the SAP system as ‘paper’ claim and forward patient files to the collections department for further management.
    • Adhere to reporting standards by analysing information and reports by identifying trends, discrepancies and inconsistencies for decision making.

    Enrolled Nurse Paediatric

    Job Summary:

    • As Enrolled Nurse, to take responsibility for both direct and indirect nursing care of a patient or group of patients, and to function under the direct and/ or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse, according to the scope of practice of an Enrolled Nurse.
