    Materials Co-ordinator

    The key performance areas for this position will include, but are not limited to:

    • Achieve operational targets in line with strategic business objectives

    National Accounts Controller

    Purpose of the Job

    • Responsible for contacting debtors and collection of outstanding payments, as well as managing claims and disputes arising from customers.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Analyses payments and identify short payments and disputes.
    • Reconcile differences and apply the payments to invoices.
    • Contact debtors for payments/outstanding amounts on accounts.
    • Send letters of demand (post reminders, follow-ups and final demands being sent out)
    • Manage the process of collections to legal action.
    • Conduct reconciliations once payment has been made.
    • Overdue greater than 60days handed over to legal.
    • Manage the claims process on discounts, returns, bottles and stock corrections.
    • Investigate validity of claim when a customer submits a complaint.
    • Handling of quality claims (e.g. glass in wine, open bottles, etc.)
    • Collecting information for reports on the claims and disputes that have been submitted
    • Identify repayment opportunities for accounts in default.
    • Repayment requests managed within a maximum 4-week period.
    • Longer than 4 weeks repayment referred to the legal controller.
    • Handed over to legal when defaults on arrangement.
    • Allocate payments received to open invoices.
    • Allocate payments as per remittance received.
    • Apply applicable discount as per term.
    • Maintain sound working relationship with stakeholders.
    • Build, support, and maintain healthy, diverse internal and external relationships to ensure achievement of organizational goals.

    Manufacturing Analyst - Stellenbosch

    Purpose of the Position:

    • The Manufacturing Analyst plays a pivotal role in optimising production workflows, analysing operational data, production processes, and supporting administrative functions to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
    • This hybrid role bridges strategic analysis with hands-on coordination, contributing to both efficiency and organizational effectiveness and also serves as a critical link between operational teams and SA manufacturing leadership.
    • The role further supports data-driven decision-making at a Manufacturing Director level by providing insights on performance trade-offs, risks, and improvement opportunities across multiple sites.

    Key Performance Area:

    Operational Analysis

    • Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs)
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams
    • Implementing process improvements
    • Optimising resource allocation through implementing lean, six sigma or TQM methodologies
    • Collect, interpret, and report on production and process data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Develop dashboards, reports and performance metrics to monitor KPIs such as throughput, downtime, and other operational performance indicators.
    • Assist in cost tracking and resource utilisation reporting to support strategic decision-making and to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Develop standardised work instructions and best practices
    • Conduct operational performance analysis across multiple sites, including throughput, losses, efficiencies, variances, yield, and downtime trends
    • Perform cross-site comparison and benchmarking to identify best practices and systemic gaps
    • Translate data into actionable insights to support problem-solving and highlight root causes
    • Provide decision support to the Manufacturing Director by analysing trade-offs, risks, and improvement opportunities
    • Improve performance visibility and consistency across sites through structured reporting and analysis
    • Identify operational risks and inefficiencies at an early stage through proactive data analysis

    Manufacturing Support

    • Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot operational issues and implement process enhancements.
    • Perform root cause analysis using techniques like “5 Whys” and Pareto analysis
    • Assist in quality control initiatives and ensure compliance
    • Support Health & Safety strategy
    • Participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects
    • Ensure alignment between S&OP, plant execution, and cost outcomes through operational insight and analysis

    Administrative and Coordination Duties

    • Prepare and manage South Africa Manufacturing head office budget
    • Fully accountable for South Africa Manufacturing Head office administrative duties example:
    • Planning, scheduling meetings, strategy sessions etc
    • Prepare and submit claims
    • Manage audit documentation for audits and reviews
    • Develop comprehensive reports for leadership decision-making

    • Support procurement and vendor communications
    • Accountable for SOUTH AFRICAN MANUFACTURING PPE coordination
    • Provide budget coordination and control in alignment with operational performance
    • Support group-wide PPE governance and compliance

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • liaise internally with Safety, Quality, Engineering, supply chain, and finance teams to align operational goals
    • Communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders through clear, actionable reports
    • Interface with multiple plants and central functions to ensure alignment and consistency
    • Enable stronger fact-based decision-making at Manufacturing Director level through clear insights and reporting

    Cost & Financial Analysis

    • Interpret standard costing outcomes in relation to actual operational drivers
    • Analyse spend in conjunction with production performance, volumes, and efficiencies
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities driven by process improvements rather than cost reduction alone
    • Support Capex justification through operational benefit tracking and post-investment reviews

    The successful candidate must have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

    •  A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
    • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and data visualisation tools.
    • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and operational workflows.
    • Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
    • Experience with administrative tasks, including scheduling, reporting, and documentation.
    • SAP (Advantageous)
    • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or business support roles.

    QA Specialist Brewing

    Purpose of the position

    • Drive product and process quality improvements across the end-to-end value chain, with emphasis on supplier and customer interfaces.
    • Foster continuous skill development in technology and quality within the department.
    • Strengthen collaboration with suppliers of raw materials and services.
    • Proactively lead the brewing department’s technology and quality initiatives.
    • Oversee the brewing department’s NPI execution.

    Key responsibilities of the role include, but is not limited to:

    TPM AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

    • Define priorities and address key losses within the area of responsibility, leading improvements across TPM activities (AM Brewing, PM Maintenance, AM Utilities).
    • Challenge and support the development of enhanced operational standards through active participation in pillar teams such as AM and PQ.
    • Facilitate continuous improvement and optimization of brewing processes.
    • Initiate and support improvements within the Autonomous Maintenance (AM) team, fostering strong collaboration with the PQ Quality Pillar and other TPM pillars.
    • Evaluate task efficiency and effectiveness, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective or preventive actions.

    PROCESS MANAGEMENT

    • Report deviations from HEINEKEN Brewing Process Standards within the area of responsibility.

    • Lead or contribute to analytical improvement initiatives, implementing corrective or preventive actions as needed.
    • Drive and support the execution of NPI implementation within the Brewing & Utilities department, with an end-to-end focus.

    EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT 

    • Understand equipment capabilities and performance requirements to meet technological expectations with an end-to-end focus.
    • Identify root causes of out-of-stock situations and implement preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
    • Anticipate risks and apply countermeasures proactively.
    • Maintain workplace standards in line with Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and 5S principles; actively participate in related teams.
    • Ensure optimal performance of analytical equipment through close collaboration with suppliers and the Quality department.

    ORGANIZATION AND PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

    • Coach and train Brewing & Utilities personnel to enhance quality awareness and capability.
    • Collect and assess technician performance data, providing input for individual evaluations.
    • Systematically improve technological and quality delivery by refining standards and developing technician skills.
    • Lead brewing quality initiatives in close collaboration with the Quality department.
    • Guide, train, and support technicians on technological matters, fostering agility and high performance in both processes and equipment.
    • Support the responsible handover from Utilities to Brewing, ensuring continuity and quality.

    MANAGEMENT OF INFORMATION AND REPORTING

    • Collect and process relevant data to generate accurate brewing reports within the scope of responsibility.
    • Follow established reporting lines within and beyond the Brewing & Utilities department as needed.
    • Own and manage data within the area of responsibility, using insights to propose performance improvements.

    PLANNING AND EXECUTION

    • Plan and manage the department’s basic quality budget.
    • Lead cost optimization initiatives within the department, including CVE activities, focusing on production materials and technological processes.

    SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT

    • Ensure execution of all contracts and agreements with material and service providers, fostering strong collaboration and exceeding expectations in production, technology, and quality.
    • Collect and manage supplier performance and quality data to support informed decision-making and lead quality-related communication with suppliers.
    • Initiate and lead supplier collaboration on innovation and problem-solving initiatives.

    Requirements of the role include:

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Food technology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology or Chemical Engineering

    Experience 

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in food and/or beverage production 
    • Quality and Food Safety Management Systems 
    • Brewing / Quality of Brewing / Biotechnology / Microbiology in FMSG companies.
    • Continuous improvement methodologies like TPM / Lean / 6 Sigma

    Shift Technician

    Minimum Requirements

    • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
    • Trade Test Certificate (Millwright and/or Mechanical/Electrical)
    • Proven experience working on bottling and packaging machinery.
    • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
    • Experience working shifts in a high-speed production environment.
    • Knowledge of PLCs, Servo, AC Drives, Conveyors, fillers, labelers, packers, and related packaging equipment will be advantageous.

    Key Activities

    • Maintains the equipment and works in line with the defined and implemented safety and food safety standards. Following the 5S, and Housekeeping related to the work place. 
    • Takes care of the process measurement equipment. Supports regular calibrations and periodical checks.
    • Takes initiatives and is actively involved in optimizing workplace performance via AM/5S teams and activities. Proposes improvement actions based on standard analyses and sensing (hearing/looking/feeling/smelling) of his/her area of the line.
    • Ensures the Packaging process (machines) operates in an efficient and effective manner according to the production plan and specification in standard and non-standard conditions.
    • Executes dedicated preventive maintenance activities OTIF and understands principle of FTR (First Time Right), Acts efficiently in case of breakdowns. Captures and interprets performance data and executes corrective actions if needed.

    Skills

    • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities on production equipment
    • Basic machining and workshop skills, including drilling, cutting, welding, and lathe operations.
    • Experience with high-speed bottling and packaging line machinery
    • Competence in preventative and breakdown maintenance within a production environment
    • Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals
    • Hands-on experience with conveyors, fillers, cappers, labellers, and related packaging equipment
    • Understanding of alignment, bearings, gearboxes, and drive systems
    • Experience within a beverage or FMCG manufacturing environment
    • Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices (GMP/HACCP)
    • Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced production environment
    • Willingness and ability to work shift patterns and respond to breakdowns promptly
    • Strong adherence to safety procedures, including lockout/tagout compliance
    • Good communication and teamwork within multidisciplinary maintenance and production teams
