    Intern: Buyer (The Fix)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in Buying admin which includes order creating, amendments, sample management, liaising with Marketing on products for photoshoots.
    • Adhoc Buying admin.
    • Assist in researching emerging styles.
    • Support the buying team to select and curate future buys.
    • Analyse sales data and customer feedback to make informed buying decisions.
    • Share your insights and ideas on how to elevate our range.
    • Gaining insights by collaborating with our Planning team and contributing to product selections.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Relevant diploma or degree in Fashion, Retail Business management or related field.
    • A Keen interest in pursuing a career as a Retail Buyer.

    • Strong analytical and research skills.
    • Passion for learning and a proactive approach to acquiring new knowledge.

    Intern: Business Analyst

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Evaluation of Change Requests to collate and provide estimations and the assessment of change.
    • Gathering business requirements from a wide range of Operations Customers across various divisions.
    • Prepare Business, Functional, and System Requirement documents.
    • Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including technical, functional, and business at both local and remote locations.
    • Involved in the support of deployments. This entails creating and maintaining system-related documentation, such as business requirements, process flows, and configuration worksheets.

    • Interest in change management and willingness to learn and support implementation efforts.
    • Ability to provide support in change management activities.
    • Basic knowledge of Operations Systems is advantageous.

    Intern: Designer

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Create look and feel for seasonal merchandise, based on global trend and key lessons learnt (includes direction on silhouette, styling and fabric, print and colour). Essential to have a commercial eye and be able to interpret international trends for the customer
    • Incorporate brand handwriting / personality into the ranges
    • Briefing graphic designer and outwork team on trend and branding direction
    • Present and Develop Key Items for Foschini retail team for the upcoming season taking key platform fabrics and price points into consideration 
    • This individual is also responsible for monitoring weekly sales and continuous developments throughout the season ensuring that the brand remains relevant and in line with consumer demand
    • Provide comprehensive and technical CAD drawings and tech packs, to ensure relevant and cost-effective product
    • Provide effective test options in order to establish new product categories, and relevant iterations on existing product lines.
    • Provide the buying teams with regular relevant and aspirational trend information that is brand right
    • Managing the design process throughout the critical path -from briefing patternmaker thoroughly and working closely with all internal customers (merchandise, fabric, pattern and sample room teams) to ensure that samples are effectively executed
    • This individual needs to ensure all garments purchased meet the retail customer’s satisfaction with regards to quality and costs

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Must have Fashion Design, Design or relevant degree or diploma
    • Practical knowledge of garment construction, fabrics and trims
    • An interest in menswear
