    Designer - Foschini

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Create look and feel for seasonal merchandise, based on global trend and key lessons learnt (includes direction on silhouette, styling and fabric, print and colour). Essential to have a commercial eye and be able to interpret international trends for the customer
    • Incorporate brand handwriting / personality into the ranges
    • Briefing graphic designer and outwork team on trend and branding direction
    • Present and Develop Key Items for Foschini retail team for the upcoming season taking key platform fabrics and price points into consideration 
    • This individual is also responsible for monitoring weekly sales and continuous developments throughout the season ensuring that the brand remains relevant and in line with consumer demand
    • Provide comprehensive and technical CAD drawings and tech packs, to ensure relevant and cost-effective product
    • Provide effective test options in order to establish new product categories, and relevant iterations on existing product lines.
    • Provide the buying teams with regular relevant and aspirational trend information that is brand right
    • Managing the design process throughout the critical path -from briefing patternmaker thoroughly and working closely with all internal customers (merchandise, fabric, pattern and sample room teams) to ensure that samples are effectively executed
    • This individual needs to ensure all garments purchased meet the retail customer’s satisfaction with regards to quality and costs

     Qualifications and Experience:

    • Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design
    • Relevant work experience of 5 years in a design role
    • Manufacturing and supplier experience beneficial
    • Practical knowledge of garment construction, fabrics and trims

    Designer: Patterns

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Create Pattern on computer using Lectra and available references 
    • Liaise with Designer on requirements 
    • Communicate with Sample Room on requirements 
    • Measure Garments 
    • Grading 
    • Attend Fit Sessions with Designer 
    • Liaise with retail Technologist 
    • Handle queries from factories 

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design/Pattern Design equivalent
    • Has proven competency in Pattern Making (3-5 years) 
    • For this position experience on the Lectra windows system would be advantageous

    Assistant Buyer: Kidswear Jet

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Administratively supporting all aspects of the buying process
    • Ensuring timeous placement of orders onto the purchasing system
    • Maintaining a control system for the sample room
    • Compiling, balancing, and updating spreadsheets and reports
    • Maintaining quality assurance control and audit of samples
    • All preparations prior to presentations 
    • Completing all administrative documentation that is related to loading products into the TFG system
    • Building constructive and mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers
    • Communicating with suppliers to gather all information required to load product
    • Processing of all amendments and communicating changes to relevant parties
    • Supporting the customer service team in resolving product and order queries and complaints and product sourcing and pricing queries
    • Managing orders through the critical path process
    • Pulling of weekly reports on incoming stock and liaising with suppliers for keep samples 
    • Managing sample process between retail and production
    • Prepping of product and documents for quarterly SWOT's 
    • Able to do a Comp Shop on their own

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Matric, Higher Certificate or Diploma 
    • Buying Admin experience 
    • Previous experience as an Assistant Buyer or similar role would be advantageous 
    • Understanding of the clothing retail Cycle and Buying Process 
    • A good working knowledge of the current computer software packages (knowledge of Excel, Word & E-mail would be preferable).

    Sales Consultant - Coricraft - The Glen

    Key Responsibilities:

    Sales maximization 

    • Maintain and increase sales 
    • Ensure staff are aware of new stock and can answer product related questions 
    • Ensure no quotation remains on the system for more than 7 days 
    • Ensure available stock is pushed and sold 
    • Ensure targets are met and business growth ensured
