    Amazon is hiring a Marketplace Manager to improve the experience for our African customers. Africa, represents a large and growing consumer market positioned for growth spurred by the increasing productive potential of its young population, rapid adoption of technology and evolving consumer behavior. This role will allow you to work across various internal and external teams to evaluate the customer landscapes, and invent innovative approaches to solve ambiguous problems.     The Marketplace or “Selling on Amazon” business exists in over 13 countries and exceeds 60% of total Amazon unit sales and growing. Each year, tens of thousands of businesses join the Marketplace adding millions of new products. Our vision is to offer customers Earth’s largest selection.

    The successful candidate will lead the New Selling Partner Recruitment business including leading a team of account managers focused on general account management related to selling on Amazon global marketplaces, identification and generation of Selling Partner leads, and targeted campaign creation with the intent of marketing to prospective Selling Partners to expand their product reach with Amazon globally. The ideal candidate brings rich industry experience, strong people leadership, a relentless focus on the customer, and a big vision. In this role you will be responsible for building and leading a team, focused on networking with Selling Partners to better educate them on the benefits of selling their products on Amazon’s global marketplaces.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Analyze opportunities, develop and implement account management strategies and business plans to launch and grow selection
    • Train and coach sales team to identify, qualify, and engage with prospective Selling Partners for the Amazon Marketplace while creating a clear value proposition of selling to business customers on Amazon, along with the features and functionality
    • Build a strong team of Sales, Account Management and Integration talent
    • Partner closely with Category teams to identify category specific growth opportunities
    • Drive Selling Partner success as measured by lead generation, adoption, performance, growth and profitability
    • Build strong communication channels at all levels of the Selling Partner’s organization, set proper expectations, provide clear status communications, and manage towards a growth plan
    • Implement and track metrics for recording the success and quality of the Selling Partners. Use these metrics to guide your work and uncover hidden areas of opportunity
    • Participate in periodic business reviews with Amazon Leadership
    • Basic Qualifications
    • 10+ years of experience with a blend of Sales, technical, business and product and/or program management roles
    • Experience in people management (min. 5 years of team management experience)
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Management, Engineering or related degree required
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain complex concepts simply
    • Computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
    • Ability to work with wide range of people at all decision-making levels
    • Ability to interact at C-level with medium to large and multinational companies

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience leading diverse organizations and functions to deliver consistent results
    • Strong analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems. In particular, identifying customer (buying and selling) needs and inventing new ways to meet those needs
    • Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-moving and changing environment
    • High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities

    Author Central Specialist (Portuguese Speaker)

    DESCRIPTION

    Position Overview

    Author Central allows verified authors to create an account where they can claim their titles and add content that will appear on a customer-facing author page. Author pages link to their books' detail pages, and vice versa. The Author Central Specialist will be the front line interface between Amazon and authors. Opportunities await strong candidates looking for a fast growing, dynamic, challenging, innovative, and fun work environment.

    Position Responsibilities

    • Process and respond to emails and/or phone calls in Portuguese and English
    • Work on developing standard responses for common questions
    • Remotely calibrate with peers and leads on other sites of the network to ensure consistent experience to publishers and authors and optimize internal processes

    Basic Qualifications

    • Proven Portuguese and English verbal and written fluency skills.
    • 1+ years of previous experience in a contact center environment.
    • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with external/internal stakeholders
    • Proven ability to understand complex issues

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Proficiency en MS Office package (Excel, Word) and HTML
    • Strong analytical skills. Must be able to understand problems that vendors are facing, categorize, document, and decide on course of action on when and to whom to escalate
    • Detail oriented and process focused. Must be able to follow the process and document interactions as per requirements in clear and concise manner
    • Experience in a technical support process, especially for web enabled software products or services
