Purpose of Position:

To perform routine and stat analyses of samples and maintain analysers / instruments in a Clinical Laboratory

Requirements:

• HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field, National Diploma: Biomedical Technology

Required Experience:

• Experience in pathology laboratory environment, Knowledge: Instrumentation and Methodologies, Knowledge: MS Excel, Knowledge: MS Windows, Knowledge: MS Word, Knowledge: Quality Control, Knowledge: relevant pathology test procedures
• Knowledge of Ampath Safety
•  Health and Environment management policy

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain good client relations in order to promote the image of Ampath, Perform administration tasks in order to ensure effective administration systems in the laboratory
• Process routine bench work in laboratory in order to ensure efficient processing of specimens

• Train laboratory staff in order to ensure continuous development and education

Purpose of Position:

To provide quality customer service to consumers within the legal-ethical framework of the nursing profession in a phlebotomy environment.
Requirements:

Certificate: Nursing, SANC Registration in Relevant Register, Valid South African drivers licence (Code EB)
Required Experience:

Knowledge:

• Meditech system, Knowledge: MS Excel, Knowledge: MS Word, Knowledge: National Health Act
•  Knowledge: Nursing Council Scope of Practice
• Nursing experience within a hospital and/or laboratory environment
• Phlebotomy experience in a laboratory environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain good client relations promote the image of Ampath, Manage money/cash flow of depot to facilitate collection of payments for phlebotomy services rendered
• Perform administrative tasks to ensure correct recording and processing of information
• Perform nursing procedures in order to ensure sufficient delivery of nursing services
• Perform safety and quality control tasks to ensure that relevant standards are upheld

Purpose of Position:

To process specimens according to set criteria and standards on all benches in the Molecular Biology Laboratory.

Requirements:

• HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field, National Diploma in Medical Technology / BSc Degree (Hons) (Required)

Required Experience:

• Experience in pathology laboratory environment, Knowledge: HPCSA regulations, Knowledge: Meditech system

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath
• Monitor stock levels and report to seniors and staff responsible for the materials management of the department
• Perform accreditation and Quality Control related tasks to ensure standards are upheld
• Process specimens in the extraction area in order to ensure efficient delivery of results in the detection are a
