    Security Engineer - Cloud & Infrastructure

    The Role

    • As a Cloud and Infrastructure Security Engineer, you’ll work across multiple security domains, with emphasis on building, maintaining, and improving security controls that protect Apex’s global technology environment

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deploy, configure, and manage security solutions across cloud (AWS, Azure, OCI) and on-premises infrastructure.
    • Implement and maintain controls for network security, IAM, endpoint protection, and cloud governance.
    • Support the secure design and integration of hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
    • Conduct security assessments, vulnerability analysis, and remediation of cloud and infrastructure assets.
    • Collaborate with platform, infrastructure, and application teams to embed security into solutions from design to operation.
    • Monitor for and respond to security incidents affecting cloud and infrastructure services.
    • Maintain documentation including architecture diagrams, security control mappings, and operational procedures.

    Areas of Focus

    • Configure firewalls, WAFs, VPN gateways, and implement network segmentation.
    • Deploy intrusion prevention/detection (IPS/IDS) and network monitoring solutions.
    • Support DDoS protection strategies and integrate with cloud provider capabilities.
    • Conduct patching, vulnerability scanning, and secure configuration audits.
    • Manage identity federation, SSO, MFA, and enforce strong authentication policies.
    • Investigate and respond to incidents affecting cloud workloads, networks, or infrastructure.
    • Map cloud and infrastructure security controls to frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and CSA CCM.
    • Maintain asset inventory and ensure continuous compliance with corporate security standards.
    • Research and recommend new security tools, services, and best practices to strengthen defenses.

    Required Experience & Skills

    • 5–8 years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud, or infrastructure roles, with a focus on security engineering.
    • Proven hands-on experience with AWS, Azure
    • Strong knowledge of network security, IAM, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management.
    • Familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD security, and cloud automation (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
    • Understanding of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CSA CCM, MITRE ATT&CK).
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve security incidents in complex environments.
    • Strong communication skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    The Role

    • To liaise with and support the Client Directors and Assistant Client Directors in Jersey with the administration and management of their portfolios of trust structures and other corporate entities, in accordance with the relevant documentation and all new and amended legislation, case law and practice regulations.

    Manager Instrument Pricing

    Summary of the position

    • The Manager – Instrument Pricing is responsible for ensuring that all security classes are accurately valued, thereby enabling the accurate valuation of client portfolios. Specifically, Apex is looking for a valuations expert to lead and manage the Security Valuations team.
    • Apex is seeking an individual with proven industry experience in either asset management or fund administration, with specific security valuations experience being an absolute must.

    Outline of main duties and responsibilities

    The main responsibilities of the role will be:

    • Monitoring of service delivery by the teams in terms of SLA and managing clients’ expectations regarding deliverables, including projects and new client/fund onboarding
    • Monitoring and resolving issues that have been identified
    • Management of the team responsible for service delivery of the various functions

    Xceptor Developer

    Job Summary

    • You will be a part of the Apex Group Technology team developing our modern solutions, process development and automation to improve business process efficiencies; provide superior client digital services and support the scaling of our operational model.
    • As an Xceptor Developer, you will be responsible for designing automated solutions and managing various automation projects, ranging from low to high complexity.  These automation projects will be mainly implemented using components of the Xceptor Platform and could involve several other applications and environments. 
    • You will be responsible for supporting and improving existing Xceptor production processes, and for the design, development, implementation and operationalisation of newly proposed projects and solutions. 
    • You will also support the Xceptor Product Owner in promoting best practice design and architecture in combination with exploring and implementing the most current Xceptor platform features.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Work as a member of the Xceptor Development team to design, prototype, develop, test, and deploy applications throughout the Apex Group.
    • Support operations teams and troubleshoot production issues.
    • Perform root cause analysis for existing process issues, break down large problems in smaller iterative steps, and propose holistic fixes and enhancements.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders on feasibility and optimization of their processes.
    • Work with Business Users (SMEs and other stakeholders), Business Analysts and fellow Xceptor Developers to sign off on the business automation and technical requirements, picking the most appropriate tool, method, and design pattern to satisfy the requirement.
    • Design automation solutions using Xceptor and other relevant technologies including well-structured Solution Design documentation thereof.
    • Contribute to development methodologies and best practices around design, coding, quality, and performance and drive the adoption of these with the Xceptor development team and operational users. 
    • Take part in code reviews with the Xceptor development team and facilitate knowledge transfers.
    • Oversee technical testing of your own automation projects and support the Quality Assurance (QA) of business user development and projects.
    • Participate and oversee in all stages of the automation project lifecycle, including production deployment, hyper-care, and monitoring.
    • Define and create technical documentation for the automations developed, according to global best practices.
    • Contribute to educating the business on best practices and how Xceptor can assist them.
    • Develop sufficient understanding of peripheral applications and process end-points to assist with the end-to-end enhancements of processes.

    KYC Analyst

    Description

    • We are seeking a KYC Analyst with 3–5 years of experience in complex international client onboarding and enhanced due diligence (EDD). The successful candidate will play a key role in the KYC lifecycle of institutional clients. This is a critical compliance function within a large, regulated financial institution.

    Job specification

    • Perform end-to-end KYC and CDD (Customer Due Diligence) for a range of international clients (corporate, trust, fund structures, UBOs, etc.) in line with global AML/CFT regulations.
    • Conduct risk assessments and determine appropriate levels of due diligence.
    • Review and validate client identity, ownership, control structures, and source of wealth/funds.
    • Identify and escalate potential red flags, PEP (Politically Exposed Person) connections, and adverse media findings.

    Skills Required:

    • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a KYC/AML role within an international fund administrator, asset manager, or financial institution.
    • AML/compliance certifications are preferential .
    • Strong working knowledge of complex legal entity structures, including funds, trusts, SPVs, nominees, and private equity vehicles.
    • Familiarity with jurisdictional KYC requirements (e.g., Cayman Islands, BVI, Luxembourg, Ireland, Guernsey).
    • Compliance certifications (e.g., ICA, ACAMS) essential.
    • Experience using World-Check, RDC, LexisNexis, Refinitiv or similar screening tools.
