    HPH Credit Controller

    Main Focus Areas

    • The incumbent will be responsible for credit function of the hospital. This includes the control of the creditor’s ledger for Medical Aids, Privates, RAF and Foreign, SANDF and COID.

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    •  Manage debtors’ accounts in an orderly manner.  Optimize a positive cash flow.  Keep the number of debtors days outstanding within limits.  Follow guidelines and to enforce discipline in the protection of the investment in debtors.  Minimize the erosion of profits attributed to slow-paying accounts and bad debts.  Implement and maintain consistent systems and procedures for the management of accounts receivable.  Monitor and take corrective action on following reports: Medical short payments and over payments.  Monthly investigate reason for non-payment of any account 30 days and over  Ad-Hoc duties as assigned by the line manager.

    Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

    •  A relevant 3-year BCom/ degree or diploma or equivalent NQF level 6 qualification.  3 years Credit Control Management experience, preferable in a Hospital environment  Advanced Computer Literacy  Credit management policies and procedures (Advantageous)

    HPH Case Manager

    Main Focus Areas

    • The incumbent will be responsible for the liaison between the patient and medical aids in order to secure payment for the hospital.

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    •  Liaise network of internal and external stakeholders to ensure that managed care of patients is maintained  Monitor and control costs for Managed Care Organization patients  Confirm length of stay for all Managed Care Organizations patients  Accompany Managed Care Organization Case Managers on ward rounds in the hospital  Assist with final authorization of Managed Care patient files  Ensure correct coding for all Managed Care Organization patients  Supply all details regarding patients history to Clinical partners

    Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

    •  Registered or Enrolled Nursing qualification with ICU / HC experience  Case Management experience 3 years and above  Knowledge of ICD 10 and CPT coding  ICD 10 and CPT coding certificate will be an added advantage  Advanced Computer skills  Knowledge of Case Management, Managed Care policies

    Ward Administrator PCCU

    Main Focus Areas

    • The Group is committed to creating places of healing for their communities, focused on attracting the best expertise and dedicated to building a steadfast, devoted team. The incumbent will be responsible for the co-ordination of all secretarial work in the ward and responsible for receiving all new patients, visitors, and doctors in the ward as well as to make them feel welcome. The incumbent will further be required to assist the  Unit staff and the Unit Manager.

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    • Answers the telephone in a friendly and professional manner
    • Ensure all new admissions are on the patient's name board with the time and date.
    • Ensure the patient receives a ward information form
    • Place the required stickers in the bulletin book
    • Ensure suitable arrangements are made with the ward that patient is being transferred to or from
    • Discharges may only occur once the Doctor has given his consent in writing
    • Assist with staff shift planning in the ward if required
    • Complete and update “Monthly Register” for learners
    • Ensure all billing is up to date

    Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

    • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 Qualification
    • 2-3 years’ experience in a secretarial position/Hospital experience
    • Computer Literacy
    • Flexible working hours
    • Stock management in a Healthcare environment essential

    Registered Nurse - NICU Trained

    Main Focus Areas

    • The Registered Nurse will render and promote cost effective, safe quality patient care in accordance with hospital standards and policies and will further be responsible for direct and/or indirect nursing care of a patient or a group of patients, for assessing, planning, executing and supervising the implementation of care to meet patient needs

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    • Practice patient care according to the Scope of Practice and assume total responsibility for these activities
    • Contribute to the holistic care of patients
    • Attend handover of report at shift commencement
    • To recognize life-threating situations
    • Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care
    • Promotion of patient’s health and wellbeing
    • Give a detailed hand over to the wards sister
    • Audit of health records to ensure compliance
    • Ensure all stock is well controlled and managed, charged and credited appropriately
    • Promote and maintain good public relations with patients, relatives and visitors

    Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse/ Midwife or equivalent NQF 7 qualification .
    • Relevant qualification and experience within a specialised area. - Diploma in Neonatal Nursing Qualification.
    • Advanced Computer Literacy .
    • Flexible in working hours/Shifts .
    • Capacity to implement and maintain standards of health practice required from all accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation

    SPH Infection Prevention Control

    Main Focus Areas

    • The Infection Prevention Control will be responsible to plan, develop and implement an infection control  programme for the hospital using  infection control standards and international best practice.

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    • Aid and assist all hospital employees in managing the prevention, identification and control of infections issues in patients and employees
    • Plan, develop and implement an infection control programme in keeping with the updated control standards
    • Notify the Department of Health timeously of diseases where applicable
    • Organize regular infection control committee meetings and document the proceedings
    • Maintain an up-to-date infection control file that is available and accessible to all nursing and house-keeping staff
    • Conduct IPC meeting / audits / risk audits and action infection control critical non-conformances
    • Daily ward rounds, teaching and upskilling staff, QIP and follow up on Bluebird
    • Active engagement within the hospital, working with service providers
    • Complete all monthly reports

    Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

    • A relevant nursing qualification in Infection control (1 year Diploma) or 6 months Infection Control certificate.
    • At least 3-5 years hospital experience in an Infection control post
    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse
    • Compliance with the SANC code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable health care legislations
    • Compulsory BLS certification
    • Advanced Computer Literacy

    KPH Human Resources Officer

    Main Focus Areas

    • The Human Resources Officer is required to perform a full generalist human resources function, which includes industrial relations, recruitment and selection, training, counselling and the supervision of administration processes.

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    • Display a basic understanding of financial accounting principles to collate and/or calculate payroll information and other HR costs.

    • A minimum of  completed three year diploma in human resources management or an equivalent qualification Minimum of 2 years experience in general HR Functions Knowledge of Remuneration, Talent Management, Recruitment and Selection, Orientation and Induction, Employment Equity, Learning and Development, Organisational Design and Reengineering, IR and Performance Management
