    PURPOSE OF JOB

    • Our client is seeking a highly motivated Technical Sales Consultant to join their team. This role combines technical expertise with sales acumen to deliver tailored document management solutions to prospective clients.
    • The ideal candidate will work closely with sales teams, solution architects, and technical specialists to design, present, and implement scalable solutions that meet customer needs.
    • As well as developing and delivering technical sales presentations, and identifying sales opportunities to meet sales targets.

    Pre-Sales Support:

    • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and develop technical solutions.
    • Conduct detailed technical presentations, demonstrations, and workshops showcasing document management systems.
    • Prepare proof-of-concept (POC) setups to validate proposed solutions.

    Solution Design

    • Analyse customer workflows, systems, and business challenges to architect suitable document management solutions.
    • Create solution proposals, system architectures, and technical specifications that align with client needs.
    • Work closely with internal teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and align with company offerings.

    Technical Expertise

    • Stay updated with the latest developments in document management technologies, including imaging, workflows, compliance, and data storage.
    • Serve as the technical point of contact for client inquiries during the pre-sales phase.
    • Provide input on product development and enhancements based on market trends and customer feedback.

    Client Engagement

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and identifying new sales opportunities.

    Requirements

    Key Skills & Qualifications

    • Proven experience in document management, imaging solutions, or related fields.
    • Previous sales experience with Cloud/AWS services.
    • Strong technical background with expertise in high-volume image processing systems and workflows.
    • Excellent client interaction and communication skills.
    • Experience in solution architecture and developing technical documentation.
    • Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to understand and align technical solutions with business objectives.
    • Familiarity with compliance standards related to document management (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, POPIA).

    Sales Representative, MedTech Laboratory Division | Cape Town

    Job Description

    • The company is seeking to employ a Sales Representative for the Laboratory Division, based in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for the sales of laboratory equipment and consumables within the Western Cape region, as well as selected other territories that may be added to this portfolio.  Preference will be given to Equity candidates. 
    • This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager, Cape Town

    Key Responsibilities

    • Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily customer visits
    • Achieve sales goals and targets within the assigned territory
    • Deliver professional sales presentations to customers
    • Provide accurate reporting to management, including call reports, weekly plans, and monthly territory analysis
    • Enter all customer interactions and sales leads into the CRM system
    • Monitor market trends and competitor activity, including pricing, products, and delivery schedules
    • Ensure excellent customer satisfaction by providing prompt and professional support
    • Investigate and resolve customer complaints with effective solutions and recommendations to management
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and networking in the industry

    Requirements

    Essential / Minimum:

    • Matric / Grade 12 (non-negotiable)
    • Valid Driver’s License + Reliable Transport
    • South African Citizen / Work Permit (if applicable)

    Preferred / Advantageous:

    • Degree / Diploma in Science, Medical Technology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field – helps with understanding lab products and speaking the same language as lab staff.
    • Sales / Marketing qualification or certification – e.g., Diploma in Sales and Marketing, short courses in Business Development, Customer Relationship Management, or Sales Strategy.
    • Medical / Laboratory product training certifications (where relevant, e.g., product-specific courses provided by suppliers).

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Presentable, professional individual with strong interpersonal skills
    • A team player with the ability to work independently
    • A recognized course in Sales and Marketing will be an advantage
    • At least 2 years’ experience in sales (preferably within the medical or laboratory industry)
    • Knowledge of the Western Cape sales territory and customer base would be an added advantage.

    • The successful candidate will report to the National Equipment Sales Manager,

    Areas of Responsibility

    • To grow Capital and related equipment sales in the allocated territory. To maintain good relationships with existing customers and to develop relationships with new customers, especially in the private sector.

    • Scheduling and attending appointments with new and existing customers;

    Qualifications

    • A Grade 12 certificate as a minimum requirement plus a Radiography (N Dip or Rad) qualification is required.
    • Own reliable vehicle and valid South African Driver’s license.
