KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Compare daily mixing sheet with the work instruction and resolve discrepancies
• Book production material out against the works order
• Book production (output) against the works order
• Reconcile the production with the works order
• Enter final production on SAP into final stores 
• Create management reports with data and graphical presentation on request
• Capture WIP Stock-take information
• Reconcile stock levels and report any abnormalities

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Grade 12/NQF 4 equivalent
• 3 years work experience with an ERP/MRP system like SAP
• 3 years experience within a plant/production environment
• In-depth knowledge of work order administration
• Computer Literate and able to operate the Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
• Energetic, Self-motivated and able to work in a team
• Good communication skills (i.e. both verbal and written)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate the integration of the operational plans with engineering systems to ensure maximum plant availability according to organisational objectives.
• Provide technical support to the plants on engineering related matters to minimize downtime and possible engineering risks.
• Develop short, medium and long-term maintenance plans to meet business objectives.
• Analyse and interpret maintenance trends and variances, and initiate change.
• Ensure compliance to legislative requirements, engineering standards and specifications.
• Coordinate the preparation of all maintenance related project technical documents to ensure that the technical content and cost are within the scope of work.
• Monitor frequency and modes of equipment failures, breakdowns, accidents and overtime to drive root cause analysis suggests changes to processes and equipment to prevent reoccurrences.
• Participate in the maintenance budgeting process annually.
• Prepare weekly and monthly maintenance reports using systemic and qualitative data.
• Provide on-the-job coaching to the technicians and artisans in the team, and develop their ability to perform predictive maintenance and problem solving.
• Plan and conduct technical and problem-solving investigations and modifications on product/processes, technology or equipment 
• Provides input for capital, maintenance and overhead budgets/forecasts/modifications and project costs and identifies cost saving opportunities 
• Design and develop mechatronic systems and components
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical, electronic, and software systems
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for new projects
• Perform simulations and testing to evaluate system performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing mechatronic systems
• Create detailed design specifications and technical documentation

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• BEng/BSc or BTech in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronic Engineering
• Registration as PR Eng. would be advantageous or in process of completion
• At least 5 years of experience in plant maintenance of which 3 years should have ideally been in a supervisory role
• Experience in Project Management would be advantageous
• Knowledge of hazardous chemicals, in particular explosives, is preferred
• Knowledge of OHS Act and Legal Liability, including ISO 55000, 45001, 14001 and 9001 standards is important
• Financial management skills would be advantageous
