As our Staff Firmware Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

• Developing and enhancing features for real-time embedded system.
• Developing communications protocol drivers for use in our embedded system and third-party products.

Your Experience and Background include:  

• Bachelor’s degree desired in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• BSEE or BSCS
• 3-15 years professional experience in C or C++ programming, preferably with Embedded Linux and microcontroller RTOS development.
• Experience in distributed systems and network-based communication protocols.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Visual Studio and Eclipse development environments.

• Excellent problem-solving, design, development, and debugging skills.

Essential Qualifications :

Skillset:

• Proficiency in embedded C, C++, or Python.

• Embedded development experience, with a focus on ARM Linux operating systems

• Experience developing and deploying applications under Linux and Windows
• Experience with TCP/IP networking, transport layer protocols including TCP and UDP, and application layer protocols including HTTPS
• Experience with Agile methodologies.  Knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) desired
