    Data Analyst

    Job Description

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • As a Data Analyst, you will collaborate across teams, transforming data into meaningful insights that drive our business forward.

    You will:

    • Own, build, and maintain dashboards and reports in Microsoft Power BI (and other tools) that drive key business decisions.
    • Continuously improve BI infrastructure, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and performance.
    • Partner with Marketing, Credit, and Finance teams to translate business requirements into actionable insights.
    • Working closely with team leads to understanding requirements and communicate insights.
    • Support data-driven decision making by enabling self-service BI across the organisation.
    • Leverage AI tools for more efficient data processing and analytics.
    • Use SQL, Excel, and DAX to model and transform data for analysis.
    • Document BI processes and create clear data dictionaries or guides for users.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Tertiary degree in Information systems, Informatics, Statistics, Economics or Finance. Honors preferred.
    • Proficiency in PowerBI and DAX is essential.
    • Solid understanding of financial data and reporting structures (income statement, balance sheet, etc.).
    • 2-3+ years’ business intelligence experience, preferably in financial services or fintech.
    • Strong excel, SQL and data modelling skills.
    • Passion for growing SMEs across South Africa.
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to communicate complex insights simply.

    Job Description

    Key Responsibilities

    • Targeted Outreach and Client Research: Proactively research target clients and opportunities globally, identifying and engaging with potential clients in both local and international markets.
    • Lead Generation and Relationship Building: Generate leads and establish long-term relationships with key stakeholders through internal and external networking, including attending approved conferences.
    • Daily Work Schedule Planning: Plan and organise a daily work schedule to reach out to both existing and potential leads, with a focus on engaging decision-makers.
    • Outbound Sales Management: Lead outbound sales and business development campaigns, including managing outreach to new target clients for meetings.
    • Client Engagement: Engage directly with C-suite executives and key decision-makers, performing product demos and supporting senior management in negotiating price proposals and RFPs.
    • Deal Closing: Closing deals, ensuring a smooth transition from lead generation through to negotiation and agreement finalisation.
    • Partnership Development: Establish and nurture partnerships to foster new business opportunities and expand the business's reach.
    • Product Knowledge: Establish and maintain a deep understanding of the business’s platform, features, and technical specifications to effectively engage with potential clients and demonstrate value.
    • Sales Team Collaboration: Attend weekly business development/sales team meetings and provide insights to management regarding sales figures, goals, and any obstacles encountered.
    • Feedback for Platform Improvement: Provide constructive feedback to the Client Management and IT teams to help improve the platform and increase market share.

    What We’re Looking for

    • Highly motivated individuals with strong financial acumen.
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
    • Proven track record of engaging with C-Suite executives and key decision-makers.
    • Proactive sales and business development approach with a strong desire to grow and learn in a tech-driven environment.
    • Excellent prioritisation, time management, and organisational skills.
    • Ability to create and deliver customised presentations tailored to client needs.
    • Openness to constructive feedback.

    Must Have’s

    • Qualified CA, CFA level 2/3, Lawyer, Product Specialist
    • Knowledge/Experience in the following areas will be beneficial but not required:
    • Experience in selling a SAAS platform
    • Highly motivated and the target is driven with a proven track record in sales
