    Product Specialist

    Your Mission

    Technical Support & Maintenance

    • Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on Epiroc Trackless mining equipment (hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, electronic systems).
    • Diagnose and resolve equipment faults, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend solutions to eliminate defects.
    • Conduct machine audits, daily inspections, and RigScan assessments.
    • Assist with machine repairs, breakdown calls, and critical parts planning.
    • Process warranty claims and implement technical service bulletins/modifications.
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and improvements.

    Process Improvement & Reporting

    • Ensure all work meets quality control standards,
    • Suggest and implement process changes to improve equipment performance and reliability.
    • Prepare technical reports, failure analyses, and recommendations for process improvements.
    • Coordinate with mine and Epiroc technical teams and participate in planning meetings.
    • Submit weekly status reports and maintain documentation of all activities.

    Safety & Compliance

    • Adhere to company and mine safety, health, and environmental requirements.
    • Participate in risk assessments and safety meetings.
    • Ensure all work complies with MHSA and site procedures.

    Your Profile:

    • 3+ years’ experience maintaining mining/drilling equipment (Epiroc preferred).
    • 1–2 years as master technician or leading hand (advantageous).
    • Skilled in repair, assembly, rebuilding, and commissioning machinery.
    • Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge.
    • Expertise in troubleshooting and diagnostics for trackless mining equipment.
    • Able to read technical drawings and product catalogues.
    • Familiar with underground and surface mining environments.
    • Preferred: CAN Bus, rig control, automation systems experience.
    • Grade 12/Matric; Section 26D Trade Test (Diesel/Earthmoving/Millwright/Electro-Mechanical).
    • N6 Engineering Diploma (advantageous).
    • Valid driver’s licence; medically fit; willing to work underground.
    • Computer literate (MS Office).
    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
    • Professional conduct and grooming.

    Operations Manager - Platreef

    Your mission as an Operations Manager

    • As an Operations Manager, you will oversee and manage the Epiroc maintenance and service teams at IvanPlats Platreef Mine, ensuring optimal parts and machine availability, engineering utilization, product improvement, and customer satisfaction.
    • You will be responsible for the full operational, technical, and people management of the Epiroc on-site team, driving continuous improvement, safety, and compliance with contractual obligations.

    What you’ll do

    • Supervise the Epiroc team responsible for conducting predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on Epiroc trackless mobile equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
    • Oversee assembly, commissioning, and warranty management for new equipment.
    • Direct problem-solving activities, conduct root cause analyses, and manage product improvement initiatives.
    • Oversee equipment repairs, breakdown calls, and critical parts planning.
    • Manage warranty claims processes and ensure implementation of technical service bulletins/product improvement campaigns.
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and improvements
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with the client and key stakeholders,
    • Ensure Epiroc’s compliance of contractual agreements and service level expectations.
    • Collaborate with client site operations teams and Epiroc teams and actively participate in planning meetings to ensure alignment and effective execution.
    • Promote safety and environmental responsibility by integrating MHSA compliance and proactive risk management into daily operations
    • Lead coach, and develop the on-site Epiroc team, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement
    • Manage site operations costs, budgets, and invoicing to ensure profitability and cost control 
    • Track and report on actual costs versus budgets and forecast.

    What you’ll bring

    • Grade 12 (Matric) and a recognised trade qualification
    • Diploma or degree in engineering or business management is considered beneficial
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance of mining/drilling equipment; experience with Epiroc equipment highly advantageous.
    • 2-3 years of experience in a leadership role, with demonstrated managerial skills and experience managing and motivating teams from diverse backgrounds.
    • Experience in maintenance of TMM and other mining equipment
    • Demonstrated experience in overseeing maintenance teams and vendor-managed inventory and service operations is considered highly beneficial

    Mining Technology Consultant

    Mission of the Role:

    Your Mission:

    • Understand client needs and how the solution adds value.
    • Help design and implement the mine scheduling solution.
    • Configure the system according to standards and project plans.
    • Support testing of software and solutions.
    • Create and deliver training materials.
    • Assist with software adoption aligned to client processes.
    • Improve implementation methods and procedures.
    • Stay updated on Epiroc software and promote its use.
    • Join value assessment and proof-of-value activities.
    • Support standardization of configurations across clients.
    • Keep records of configuration plans and changes.
    • Provide frontline client support and log tickets.
    • Follow Epiroc’s adoption methodology.
    • Map current and future client processes when needed.
    • Share feedback to improve Epiroc products.
    • Participate in internal and client-facing testing cycles.

    Your Profile:

    • A tertiary (degree or diploma) in Mining Engineering, Industrial Engineering or other applicable engineering qualification or related qualifications in Mine Technical Services (Geology, Survey, etc.).
    • Proven practical mining exposure which includes exposure to mine planning, design, and scheduling processes.
    • Experience working in a consulting environment preferably in a mining environment.
    • Experience with business or mining related implementation projects.

    This position is a contract position for 12 months.
