Job Summary
- This role involves overseeing the accurate consolidation of financial statements across multiple entities within the Group, ensuring full compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards.
- The incumbent will collaborate with various departments to collect and analyse complex financial data, support strategic decision-making, and contribute to the overall financial governance of the organisation.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversee the consolidation of financial statements in line with IFRS
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements for the Group
- Coordinate with various departments to collect and analyse financial data required for consolidation
- Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions to ensure accurate reporting
- Prepare consolidated financial reports for senior management and key stakeholders
- Perform complex financial analysis and provide variance commentary on consolidated results
- Ensure adherence to all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Monitor updates to accounting standards and assess impacts on consolidation processes
- Support group budgeting and forecasting from a consolidated perspective
- Assist with the preparation of technical accounting papers and financial governance processes
- Provide support during external audits relating to consolidations
- Maintain and update consolidation models and reporting systems
Qualifications and Skills
- Matric / Grade 12
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CA(SA) or equivalent qualification preferred
- Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in financial consolidations or a similar role
- Proven track record in managing complex consolidations
- In‑depth understanding of IFRS and local accounting standards
- Strong knowledge of consolidation principles and practices
- Knowledge of CaseWare or similar consolidation software (advantageous)
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial tools
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Valid driver’s license and willing to travel for work

- Competent in preventative maintenance
- Computer literacy in MS 365
- Strong communication skills
