    Corporate Accountant: Consolidation

    Job Summary

    • This role involves overseeing the accurate consolidation of financial statements across multiple entities within the Group, ensuring full compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards.
    • The incumbent will collaborate with various departments to collect and analyse complex financial data, support strategic decision-making, and contribute to the overall financial governance of the organisation.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Oversee the consolidation of financial statements in line with IFRS
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements for the Group
    • Coordinate with various departments to collect and analyse financial data required for consolidation
    • Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions to ensure accurate reporting
    • Prepare consolidated financial reports for senior management and key stakeholders
    • Perform complex financial analysis and provide variance commentary on consolidated results
    • Ensure adherence to all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
    • Monitor updates to accounting standards and assess impacts on consolidation processes
    • Support group budgeting and forecasting from a consolidated perspective
    • Assist with the preparation of technical accounting papers and financial governance processes
    • Provide support during external audits relating to consolidations
    • Maintain and update consolidation models and reporting systems

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Matric / Grade 12
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
    • CA(SA) or equivalent qualification preferred
    • Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in financial consolidations or a similar role
    • Proven track record in managing complex consolidations
    • In‑depth understanding of IFRS and local accounting standards
    • Strong knowledge of consolidation principles and practices
    • Knowledge of CaseWare or similar consolidation software (advantageous)
    • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
    • High attention to detail and accuracy
    • Proficiency in accounting software and financial tools
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
    • Valid driver’s license and willing to travel for work

    Diesel Mechanic

    Job Summary

    • This role involves performing preventative maintenance, repairs and general mechanical support on all plant vehicles, machines and equipment within the woodchip plant and related operations.
    • The Diesel Mechanic will ensure optimal equipment performance, minimise downtime, maintain accurate service records, and support operational needs through reliable, hands-on technical expertise.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Maintain a comprehensive maintenance plan for all plant vehicles, machines and equipment
    • Schedule services, inspections and component replacements in line with OEM specifications
    • Ensure correct spares are ordered and delivered on time
    • Conduct daily spot checks on machines
    • Oversee weekly greasing and washing of machines
    • Identify mechanical faults and pinpoint sources of trouble
    • Follow proper safety protocols and maintain an organised, clean work area
    • Perform mechanical and auto-electrical repairs on plant machinery and equipment
    • Carry out welding and fabrication tasks to keep equipment operational
    • Work with petrol-powered grass-cutting machines and equipment where required
    • Maintain accurate service records and equipment history
    • Record daily HRS meter readings on all mobile equipment
    • Perform stand-by duties across all sections of the woodchip plant and ship-loading operations
    • Manage tools and plant assets responsibly and in line with company policy

    Qualifications and Skill

    • Matric / Grade 12
    • Qualified Diesel Mechanic (Red Seal)
    • Hydraulic and/or auto-electrical training
    • 8–10 years’ experience with agricultural or heavy diesel equipment
    • Experience with Bell, Terex, JCB or similar machinery
    • Diesel engine, hydraulic and auto-electrical diagnostics
    • Welding and fabrication skills
    • Competent in preventative maintenance
    • Computer literacy in MS 365
    • Strong communication skills
    • Ability to handle seasonal workloads and urgent repairs
    • Heavy and light vehicle driver’s license's
    • Fluent in English

    • This role involves providing administrative and logistics support to the Grain division through coordinating grain transport, managing deliveries and stock movements, preparing logistics documentation, and maintaining accurate records to ensure efficient, timely, and compliant grain operations.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Coordinate transport and delivery of grain from farms, silos, and processing facilities
    • Schedule trucks and manage shipments to ensure timely delivery

    • Capture and update transport orders and logistics-related transactions
