    Trainer Mining Engineer (ECSA / Mine Managers Certificate)

    Job Description:

    A mining operation based in Limpopo requires a part time Mining Engineer to work as coach/ trainer 10 working days per month. The role will entail technical mentorship and drive the companies Graduate/ Internship Development Program
     
    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct skills transfer on graduates that are in line with their qualification
    • Guide and support the learners and identify barriers to learning
    • Provide input and review graduates’ reports and presentations
    • Participate in ongoing review of the Graduate Development Program
    • Carry out continuous performance assessments and identify gaps
    • Support holistic professional development of graduates
    • Liaising with Line Managers regarding learner progress
    • Conduct training needs analysis in line with the business plan
    • Stay up to date on mining technologies and translate these to the Graduate Development Program
    • Assess graduates ability to participate in line up, planning meetings and incident/ accident investigations

    Requirements: Qualification and Skill

    • 10-15 years’ experience in the Mining Industry
    • National Diploma or higher in Mining Engineering
    • Mine Managers Certificate of Competence
    • ECSA registration highly advantageous
    • Excellent computer literacy, Microsoft office and SAP
    • Previous experience in a coaching/ training or mentoring role
    • Familiar with Blasting, Mine Overseeing and Mine Mangers Certificate requirements

    Job Description:

    A fast growing retail company that sells high end pet food and accessories is looking for an enthusiastic person to join the finance team based in Cape Town.

    Responsibilities:

    • Reconciling store sales transactions and supporting documentation
    • Reconciling store petty cash and capturing transactions
    • Preparation of bank account reconciliations
    • Processing of head office creditor invoices for expenses and preparing reconciliations as required
    • Assist with reviewing creditors reconciliations prepared by the creditor’s clerk
    • Monthly journal entries for accruals and prepayments
    • Preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations
    • Responsible for finance admin and filing
    • Preparation of the daily dashboard reporting
    • Review and capturing of travel/ expense claims
    • Cross training with other members of the finance team to ensure adequate cover while employees take leave
