    Shopper Marketing Assistant

    Job description

    Main Job Purpose

    The role of this is to drive shopper based thought leadership to internal and external stakeholders. This includes execution of the shopper component of brand marketing/customer and category plans.

    Job Summary

    The Shopper Marketing Assistant will work closely with the Brand team and agencies as well as the Channel & Category, E-Commerce and Trade Category Teams. Other key relationships will be with the Customer Management team (for Retailer engagement) and Unilever Field Sales (for execution) to effectively deliver activations, innovations and customer collaborations.

    • Drive shopper thought leadership that increases, develops and sustains Unilever and Category growth opportunities.
    • Drive Shopper Mission and Shopper/Channel understanding in all plans, activations, and innovations that deliver long-term consumer behaviour change, incremental sales and build brand equity.
    • Leads execution of shopper based plans that are rooted in shopper and consumer insights aligned to brand/category objectives.
    • Work closely with key internal / external stakeholders to execute shopper marketing activities against key objectives.
    • Adopt, Adapt and implement Global Best Practice of point of sale (POS) material to deliver best in class POS that delivers value for the retailer, is shopper based and drives incremental sales.
    • Ensure “best in class” executional excellence of Shopper Marketing Plans through clear briefs to internal and external executional teams.
    • Clear brief to field team on all execution of the instore activities
    • Manage activity budgets
    • Lead a rigorous and transparent post-evaluation analysis of specific activations, initiatives that guide the business on its success based on agreed KPIs.
    • Shopper marketing planning- Developing plans that drive shopper strategy
    • Shopper engagement – working with customers and agencies to create and execute shopper programs
    • Shopper impact Evaluating and learning from SM programs
    • Shopper insight – knowing shoppers and shopping and translating it into action

    Key Requirements

    • Degree / Diploma
    • Minimum 3 Years Relevant Customer, Marketing Experience
    • Account management/Consumer Insights and experience outside FMCG is an advantage

    Customer Representative

    Job description

    Main Job Purpose

    The purpose of the Sales Representative is to ensure effective selling of products. Solution focused selling of products to drive orders from designated customers, ensuring constant on shelf availability & qualitative in-store presence of our brands, price management, coordinating & implementing in-store promotions & innovations to attract more consumers, as well as increasing brand awareness and market share across our brands.

    Job Summary

    • Increasing Consumers Volume & Shelf Health
    • Building strong relationships with customers to leverage greater business result
    • Selling solutions, products and orders
    • Implementation of product promotion by ensuring adequate stock availability and customer related activity to drive out stock.
    • Have thorough understanding of product promotions and communicate effectively with customer.
    • Negotiating bulk displays / Gondola ends and other in-store activity to aggressively drive sale out.
    • Ensure agreed pricing strategies with customers are in order.
    • Achieve volume targets at required NIV levels.
    • Drive interaction & Sales between end user
    • Ensure stock availability at all times.
    • Ensure careful stock rotation with FIFO principals (First in First Out) through 3rd party.
    • Ensure that the customer is tracking well on promotion lines and maximize promotional displays.
    • Unpack stock and ensure display is neat and tidy, replenish displays with stock through 3rd party.
    • Make sure new products are listed and merchandised correctly through 3rd party..
    • Feedback on customer complaints, queries & requests / market information / competitor activity
    • Ensure product pricing is correct after deals (PI labels and price stickers accurate and visible on display).
    • Interaction with call centre and debtors (internal)
    • Advise customer on use of products & monitor UFS KVI lines.
    • ADMIN
      • Control & monitor damages, short dated stock or complaints
      • Merchandising stock through 3rd party (On shelf, PI Labels, Facings, FIFO, Stock Rotation, Stock on Hand, Promotional Display or activity)
      • Complete price surveys and stock control sheets
      • Admin: Petrol, Monthly survey, Monthly report, weekly call report.
      • Making sure that the deals are in the system
      • Stock rotation
      • Customer pricing claims, damages & complaints
      • Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of stock area & presentation of all products through 3rd party.

    COMPETENCIES

    Key Requirements

    • Matric
    • Tertiary qualification will be an advantage
    • Minimum 2 years Account Management experience or Field Sales Experience.
    • Negotiation skills
