    Test Analyst - IW

    Job description

    About the role

    The client relationship management and financial planning tools Functional Tester is responsible for the process of verifying and validating that our software offerings meet specific business and technical requirements by conducting an objective assessment of the product based on appropriate criteria, real and perceived quality, conformance to standards and detection of defects. Thus ensuring the release of a quality product.

    Testers may be assigned to specific products as well as specific projects, which may change from time to time. The Functional Tester will be responsible and accountable in part for testing, support and documentation relating to the assigned products and projects, and specifically focused on the XTOOLS calculators of the software.

    Accountabilities & Deliverables

    • Proactively test items and products whilst keeping up to date with items that are assigned and supporting team members where necessary.
    • End to end testing of new product versions specific to client relationship management and financial planning tools; Front End Functional regression and integration testing (XPLAN, API, XTOOLS)
    • Test plan creation and dissemination among team members for new version releases, service pack releases and ad hoc features.
    • Working closely with Business Analyst(s) and Product Owner to log and confirm solutions, bugs and enhancement feature testing.
    • Provide timely feedback to the Business Implementations and Support Teams.
    • Reporting of findings and tracking of issues in the relevant test management systems.
    • Assist in preparing release notes for the various modules as needed.
    • Sign off control for each phase and milestone of the project.
    • Document test plan outcomes for key clients and new releases.
    • In addition to the required functions above, you may be asked from time to time, as business needs demand, to fulfil a function outside of the primary assigned role.

    What you’ll bring to the team

    • Knowledge and/or experience in the financial services/advice industry essential with planning tools highly regarded.
    • Knowledge and/or experience of Financial Planning software is highly desirable.
    • Good understanding of the financial planning process, cash flows and modelling. .
    • Studying towards an appropriate industry related qualification will be an advantage, e.g. Diploma in Financial Planning
