    Equipment Coordinator

    Job description

    We are a diverse team focusing on the flow of equipment, tracking, equipment maintenance repair and cost control, while focused on driving innovation, reducing behavioural cost and improving efficiencies.

    Key Responsibilities

    • To position the right equipment in the right location at the right time at the right cost, based on commercial and operational requirements.
    • To ensure that effective positioning corridors are used for empty containers within optimal cost.
    • Evaluate the global flow plan and provide LOC with feedback whilst managing execution.
    • Measure evacuation vs planned volume: Ensure shortfalls explained, root causes identified and resolved when possible.
    • Drive the ROFO+Delta process with TNM in accordance with commercial forecast requirements.
    • Keep the commercial desks informed about stock and supply developments providing advanced warning if short supply will affect equipment availability in South Africa and Indian Ocean Islands.
    • Manage special equipment stock based on forecast and booking requirements for the commercial desks and evacuate surplus based on the LOC instruction.
    • Together with EMR, determine if damaged stock should be evacuated and follow up with local operations to ensure it receives the focus and priority that is required for AV Production.
    • Update import turn-ins, weekly forecast with actuals to estimate evacuation requirements.
    • Ensure reports and SOPS are uploaded on the intranet are current.
    • Engage with commercial and customer service through weekly meetings as part of stakeholder management.
    • Continually seek to improve processes internally and identify tasks that may be off shored to the GSC.
    • Maintain the GSC relationship and ensure the reports produced are on time and, accurate and correctly distributed to the relevant stake holders.
    • Facilitate the execution of last minute plans/contingencies.
