Job description

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) will provide technology vision and leadership in the development and implementation of the affiliate-wide information technology (IT) program. The CIO will lead the planning and implementing of enterprise information systems to support both distributed and centralized business operations and achieve more effective and cost beneficial enterprise-wide IT operations.

With digital becoming a core competency of WBC, the CIO also needs to play a critical role in the strategic, technical and management initiatives to mitigate risk and drive business growth.

These initiatives should include:

• Information security
• Customer experience
• Leveraging data

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the IT industry with increasing responsibilities in management and support of information technology. Direct management of a major IT operation is preferred. Experience should also include exposure to both shared and outsourced solutions, as well as support of in-house information and communication systems in a multi-site client-server environment. Specific experience in financial management is a plus. The ideal candidate will also have:

Requires an Honors degree in Computer Science or BCom Informatics. A Master’s degree in Information Technology is highly desirable.

BENEFITS:

Salary R1,1 mil – R1,5 mil negotiable per annum

15 days annual leave
