• Ensure digital file integrity
• Monitor and manage storage resource
• Diagnose and remedy Second and Third level problems
• Respond to user requests as requested from Frontend Support
• Provide Support to MAM Admin Front-end support fault escalation
• Follow through of issues with suppliers and technical department with Manager
• Working shifts that cover 24/7 on a standby basis
• Provide technical input to MAM business planning
• Testing of scripts/bug fixes in Staging,

COMPETENCIES

Functional Knowledge

• Linux support and maintenance with shell scripting (Compulsory)
• Good understanding of SQL (Compulsory)
• Knowledge of the broadcast value chain (advantageous)
• Systems Analysis
• Project implementation
• IBM DB2 administration
• Tivoli Storage Manager administration
• Support of Enterprise hardware (Servers, SAN/DAS/NAS, Tape libraries)
• Support IBM 358X series LTOX Tape Storage Systems
• Network configuration fault finding and support(TCP/IP, DNS, Routing, FTP, HTTP, LDAP, NFS, NTP, SMB, etc)
• Clustered Filesystem (GPFS/GFS/etc)
• Basic Perl programming
• Good understanding of the Ardendo MAM system (Advantageous)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum diploma/degree in Computer Sciences, IT or related.
• 4 years’ experience in Linux coding and scripting
