    Qualifications

    Basic qualifications:

    • Matric
    • 3 year relevant Tertiary degree/diploma or relevant experience in industry
    • Computer Literate in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Lotus Notes/Outlook

    Work Experience

    • Ideally 2 year’s successful experience in Healthcare Sales/Influencing role.
    • Good communicator at all levels.
    • Excellent Negotiating & Closing deals skills
    • Good IT skills.
    • Good administration skills allied to good numeric.
    • Good understanding of policy setting & decision making processes in Dentistry & the NHS
    • Strong presentation skills
    • A sound understanding of the Dental anatomy & in-depth product knowledge.
    • Excellent selling & planning skills
    • Strong inter-personal skills
    • Results driven
    • Team-player
    • Independent Thinking
    • High level of self-motivation, and, also a good team player.
    • Good planning and organisational skills to cover large geographical area.
    • Highly articulate in order to Detail GSK Brands in an informed and professional manner

    Job Purpose

    The purpose of the Dental Representative is to ensure that the World Class education and training is provided to appropriate HCP’s and experts, delivering key clinical messages so that the GSK brands are the ones they most recommend, endorse and sell within the Dental Practice influencing sphere.

    Dental Representatives are required to build sustainable relationships with targeted Dental Professionals and their practice staff.

    Ultimately, the Dental Representative’s efforts should mean greater company/product awareness and greater market share for our targeted brands.

    Essential Job Responsibilities

    • To achieve Detailing objectives each Cycle, in line with Team/Marketing strategy.
    • To achieve Selling objectives each Cycle, in line with set individual targets
    • To ensure that comprehensive call planning is implemented for each call
    • To ensure that the WSFE sales principles are always adhered to in each call
    • Complete company reports and records to agreed standards, bearing in mind the comany’s SOP’s on PII and SPII, these will include Call reports, Field Coaching Work Book, Competitor Feedback,etc.
    • Complete all trackers for Samples, POS, etc on a weekly and monthly basis
    • Manage individual marketing budget for area per annum
    • To develop territory business plan to accomplish objectives.
    • To make professional/educational presentations to practice groups, professional bodies and any meeting as directed, CME’s, OHASA, SADA, CPD Meetings, etc
    • Drive all company objectives identified within the overall Dental strategy.
    • Dental Representatives may be required to attend meetings, conferences and training courses that may entail overnight stays or evening work.
    • Territory Management and Coverage may entail overnight stay.
    • Undertake Any Other Duties Commensurate With Grade As Required.
    • Ensure that all My Learnings and SOP training is completed timeously.
    • Agreed pass averages are achieved for product/detailing assessments
    • Identify and forge relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and Influencers within the Dental Healthcare Profession

    Responsibility

    Ensure timeous implementation and management of new product launches with proper forward planning, and providing relevant feedback. Effectively implement segmenting & targeting dental practitioners & practices to achieve effective ROI & deployment of resources Ensue that the Professional Oral Healthcare brand strategies are met.
