    GTM and Marketing Operations Manager

    Job description

    We have a wonderful opportunity for a talented professional to join us and be the champion of Go-To-Market (GTM) and Marketing operations across SSA markets. You will be aligning cross functional plans and initiatives to ensure they meet overall business strategy and objectives.

    Key Responsibilities

    Go-to-Market Planning

    • Effectively use information shared on global forums for the benefit of Regional and Local teams planning and execution (including 3rd Party Market insights reports/ Research)
    • Establish channels for cross functional, senior team engagement and alignment, in order to:
    • Ensure local plans align to Regional strategy and objectives.
    • Ensure the plan reflects consolidated approach to product go-to-market with measurable and realistic KPI (key performance Indexes)
    • Identify an manage risks, challenges and dependencies, proactively intervening to remove roadblocks
    • Track execution of plans against KPI and provide forum for corrective action and milestones for resolution
    • Take key learnings into next round of GTM planning

    Marketing Operations

    • Custodian of Brand Programs in formulation of Go-To-Market Planning.
    • Assess Lo Custodian of Brand Programs in formulation of Go-To-Market Planning.
    • Assess  cal Marketing plans for accuracy and efficiency before aligning with Head of Marketing based on agreed KPI
    • May be required to raise Purchase Orders and update budget planning/ tracking tools during times of team absence or on reques

    Way of Working

    • Keep abreast of latest product updates and share with teams. Manage information and disseminates relevant product/ process updates to ensure planning accuracy. (Global Weekly GTM and Product calls)
    • Voice of SSA team in global forums to garner support for requests and showcase best practice initiatives.
    • Direct and motivate the cross-functional team by creating a clear, shared sense of purpose and keeping them informed of all plans and issues.
    • Build, lead and support the cross-functional teams by developing a strong customer experience vision of successes – lead from the front, always confident and supportive.

    To succeed in this role, you will have/be:

    • Appx 4 years relevant experience across marketing disciplines, ideally gained within a global business
    • An understanding of the mobile phone market is a distinct advantage, as is an exposure to retail and sales
    • Strong Project management & TIme management skills
    • Exposure and/or Experience in African markets outside of South Africa would be advantage
    • You will be comfortable working within a start up environment, and able to operate effectively through influence rather than control
    • Education: Formal Degree. BCOM Management preferable or equivalent qualification
