    Digital Channels and Content Manager

    Job description

    The purpose of this job is to manage the JSE digital platform (website) content effectively, in order to enable existing and potential customers to access the JSE services and information. Lead the delivery of the JSE enterprise wide digital content strategy through and in partnership with the JSE preferred website agency.

    Qualification and Experience Required:

    • Degree, in Marketing and or Information technology
    • 3 - 5 years having worked in website development
    • 2 years experience in managing teams as well as working in a digital marketing environment

    Responsibilities:

     

    • Partner with business to ensure that the digital web content supports the business overall objectives. • Develop a metrics for the measurement and evaluation of the JSE web performance.
    • Generate insights, in relation to the web content, that can assist the business in attaining its set objectives.
    • Manage the web UX design processes as and when required to change the design of the website.
    • Manage the web testing with service providers to ensure good performance of the design as well as operation against set objectives.
    • Develop web governance policies and structure that is in line with the web and content strategy.
    • Manage and oversee the web analytics to generate insights for the Web improvement and development.
    • Apply cost effective principles in the planning and delivery of tasks Provide input into the divisional budget planning process.
    • Manage the departmental budget to ensure that spend is in line with budget provisions as well as negotiate with suppliers to get value for the allocated spend.
    • Establish regular communication with internal business partners so as to support their business objectives through website content management.
    • Build mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers/partners to deliver on set objectives for the function.
    • Manage internal stakeholder relationships through articulating the digital content strategy in a way that is well understood and supported by the business.
    • Anticipate partner needs by providing best in class digital content practices to ensure the up to date content for the website.
    • Project manages the development of the JSE website content strategy that is aligned to the strategic goals of the business.
    • Develop clear processes as well as workflows for digital content changes, together with internal partners as well as vendors working on the website.
    • Ensure that team members adopt and follow the set processes in conducting their activities.
    • Ensure prudent resource management by developing briefing templates that will allow for clear communication of briefs and expectations to service providers.
    • Ensure that signoff procedures are developed and implemented.
    • Ensure content accuracy at all times especially with critical information that may have reputational impact on the JSE.
    • Balance potentially conflicting needs of the business partners with client’s expectations in relation to website content.
    • Work with digital agency to improve layout of the pages
    • Utilise analytics to generate insights that can assist in improving the usability of the JSE website.
    • Manage digital agency Service Level Agreements (SLA's) to ensure that they deliver within the agreed standards and expectations.
    • Continuously monitor efficiency of the digital platform and liaise with relevant stakeholders to make remedial action based on sound findings from the monitoring of the platforms.
    • Continuously improve on the quality and relevance of content shared on the platforms by understanding customer needs and mapping them against what the JSE platforms offer.
    • Work collaboratively with the brand and marketing teams to ensure that the digital platform is an effective communication channel for the business
    • Meet compliance expectations by aligning content with marketing, brand and communication guidelines so that reputational risk can be averted.
    • Ensure that the brand visual identity guidelines are used on the digital platform and work collaboratively with the brand team to develop visual identity solution where current guidelines are unclear.
    • Work with marketing and brand team to refresh and keep the website visual appeal fresh and aligned to the brand positioning and Ensure all team members understood and supported JSE vision and divisional strategy
    • Take accountability for making others successful by removing obstacles to team performance and success
    • Participate in recruitment processes to ensure selection contributing to success of team
    • Ensure on boarding process is followed for all new hires and transfers to embed the JSE values and cultures
    • Ensure self and team members has required skill and professional/ technical expertise by assessing gaps and development areas and creating development plans.
    • Ensure each team member has a job profile that profiles team member with a view of full performance in the job.
    • Create performance agreement for each team member with measurable goals and objectives so that they understand how their performance will be viewed, recognised and rewarded.
    • Conduct performance review sessions with team members to review performance and progress against targets and agree on appropriate action required to meet targets or standards.
    • Engage with team in such a way that the feel motivated to achieve better performance feel respects and diversity valued.
    • Analyse, research, develop and implement improvement/innovative ideas and value adding solutions contributing to divisional and JSE results
