    SAP IT Business Analyst

    Job description

    Your challenge
    The IT Business Analyst (may also be called Manager) facilitates business process optimization through consulting with the user on required IT improvements in a specific application area. Incumbents are responsible for the functional content and behaviour of the application by identifying the implications of business process changes on IT technology through needs analysis, risk assessment, IT process (re)design and ultimately implementing the IT application, including

    Training of customers. The IT Business Analyst/ Consultant supports business process optimization through mapping the user-IT requirements onto the IT possibilities for improvement of functionality in a specific application, or application area. Defines and maintains the required IT functionality for one application or application area. If required, supports the detailed process re-engineering for several sites and supports the change & release process for his area. The Business Process Consultant is focused on (re)engineering IT for specific business processes and leading small projects instead of being involved with strategic (business/IT) issues.

    Your responsibilities
    • Translates business requirements into IT solutions, in accordance with the business and IT strategy, in order to specify the IT projects and services.

    • Analyses business processes and formulate proposals for IT solutions and accompanying frames and work methods, and supports realization, in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the business processes. Directly involved in the process architecture.

    • Support projects/programs, within the program budget, in order to guarantee an effective development and implementation of the chosen IT solutions, including testing, training and set-up of the SLA.

    • Advises and supports Business and IT Management through mapping the user requirements on the existing IT possibilities for improvement of functionality in the assigned application area.

    • Analyses problems in operation and makes sure that the problems are solved within the requirements of the SLA and to the satisfaction of the user.

    • Develops and provides required user training for the implemented application.

    • Responsible for the documentation, testing, and maintenance of the assigned applications.

    • Ensure operational performance of IT Tools and manage escalations

      • Drive Application Convergence

      • Support the business with optimal use of current IT tools, monitor and drive compliance

      • Execute process & IT tool assessments, training and compliance verification

      • Drive and monitor (Master) Data solutions and business change aspects for IT programs

      • Analysing processes and making proposals regarding process re-engineering and IT solutions.

    • Member of project management or project leader, create consensus throughout departments

    • Specific part of application area/business process, several sites.
    • Responsible for realization and implementation of required IT solution, including testing, training and SLA.
    • Senior team member, reporting to a team leader or Head of IT

    Dimensions Relating to Know-How: Technical Know-How, Management Breadth, Human Relation Skills

    Business process re-engineering and deployment of IT solutions, knowledge of a specific business process and infrastructure.

    • Understands the business impact of different solutions, and can assess and communicate the trade-offs between business needs, technology requirements, costs, and risk.

    • Counsels senior management and obtains buy-in for initiatives.

    • Functions as project leader of small teams, if required. Understanding of how different business units integrate into the strategic vision, business trends, and the direction IT must take to support the business.

    Well prepared action plan for the current six months and have a clear sense of what will be achieved in the year to come.

    • Innovation in business process re-engineering, finding new ways of working using new IT technology.

    • Directs and evaluates the technical and economic feasibility of proposed solutions. Improves internal service delivery, makes proposals for new services.

    • Defines service criteria, in the driver seat for new (regional) SLA proposals.

    • Directs and evaluates the technical and economic feasibility of proposed solutions.

    • Suggests and influences IT product/service innovations to better meet business stakeholder needs.

    Dimensions Relating to Accountability: Freedom to Act, Magnitude, Nature of impact

    Objectives of action are defined by guidelines and policies but some freedom is permitted in achieving end results.

    • Working independently on special topics or leading a small project team (3-5).

    • Technical guidance to more junior staff.

    • Impact on efficiency and effectiveness for parts of key business processes. Proactive identify benefits and synergies and creates project plan.

    • Influence on project costs.

    • Stays within general operational targets, general guidelines, and directions.

    • Functions as key business partner in planning strategic business objectives with business units.

    • Monitors the SLA compliance.

    • Responsible for identifying business benefits to be achieved with IT and for obtaining approval/sponsorship/support from senior management.

    • Ensure the New Project Demand will stay within the agreed budget

    • -IT Tools and process to the Analysed and Reported to management in regular intervals.

     We are looking for

    • Minimum qualification a National Diploma in IT. Preference would be a Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Science in IT.

    • Extensive experience in the following:

      • SAP tool Service Delivery / Material Management / Customer Service ( Service Max )

      • SAP R 3 and or S4 HANA

      • People management experience

      • Building & deploying tools in the market

    • Flexibility / Ability in defining the activities and items needed in a subject matter.

    • Ability to communicate clearly and in a crisp fashion to all stakeholders.

    • Good Negotiation & Supplier Management skills.

    • Self-driven & Continuous improvement mind-set

    • Stress resilient

    • Multinational, matrix organisation experience

    • Project Management experience

    • Independent worker
