    Marketing Manager

    Job description

    Purpose Of Role

    The Marketing manager is a senior management role, reporting to the Exco and is responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing plans for the entire network in order to attract potential customers and retain existing ones.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design and implement comprehensive short, medium and long term marketing strategies to create awareness of the company’s business activities, improve the brand position and drive lead generation.
    • Drive execution of tactical and operations marketing initiatives through teams and/ agencies.
    • Contributes to marketing effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives.
    • Obtains market share by developing marketing plans and programs for each product; directing promotional support.
    • Maintains relations with customers by organizing and developing specific customer- relations programs; determining company presence at conventions, annual meetings, trade associations, and seminars.
    • Provides short- and long-term market forecasts and reports by directing market research collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data.
    • Influences present and future products (educational offerings) or revenue streams by determining and evaluating current and future market trends..
    • Maintains research database by identifying and assembling marketing information.
    • Provides marketing information by answering questions and requests.
    • Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.
    • Completes marketing department operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
    • Maintains marketing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
    • Maintains marketing staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning,
    • monitoring, and appraising job results.
    • Develops marketing staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.
    • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field is required
    • Post graduate degree in Marketing or related field would be advantageous

    Experience

    • At least five years proven experience in marketing is required.
    • At least three years management experience is required.
    • Previous experience with Salesforce CRM would be advantageous
    • Previous experience with Pardot Marketing Automation would be advantageous

    Skills And Mindset

    • Intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Ability to think creatively and innovatively.
    • Budget-management skills and proficiency
    • Professional judgment and discretion.
    • Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges.
    • Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.
