    Principal Consultant: Sales & Distribution - (Management / Insurance / Distribution/ Sales / Advisory) - JHB, South Africa

    Job description

    Responsibilities

    • Sets the strategic consulting direction and client ownership strategy, for the business units’ consultants and clients in the portfolio
    • Manages the implementation of the strategy, monitors the results and adjusts the strategy as required.
    • Full accountability for the provision of general, secretarial, actuarial, investment, communication, group assurance and legal consulting services to existing / new clients.
    • Develops, leads and manages Consultant team/s.
    • Actively forms part of the product development enhancement process for the business to stay abreast of market changes.
    • Ensures that systems and processes are aligned with legislative requirements.
    • Ensures strong relationships with clients/trustees and management committees to reduce business risk, ensure retention and identification of opportunities for new business.
    • Manages the expense and income budgets.
    • Sources and implements continuous improvement in service delivery.
    • Resolves top-level service delivery problems where Consultants need assistance and support.
    • Intervenes in and resolves conflict situations.
    • Ensures consistency in communication to clients.
    • Ensures strong relationship with trustees/management committees and clients so as to reduce business risk, ensure retention and identify opportunities for new business.
    • Manages and delivers consulting and advise services according to contracted service levels.
    • Responsible for retention and growth of business against targets.
    • Markets new and enhanced products and services to clients.
    • Works together with sales teams in the new business process.

    Qualifications And Experience

    • NQF 7;
    • CFP or relevant degree/diploma.
    • Min. 10 years’ exp. in retirement fund industry
    • Senior Management experience.
    • FAIS accredited.
