    Diabetes Brand Manager

    Job description

    The position

    As a Brand Manager your key responsibilities inlcude the development, management and execution of strategic and operational plans and tactics for our field force in order to realise the potential of your brand. Daily operational tasks include amongst others: Leading the cross-functional brand team, development of medical education programmes with the Medical Affairs team; working with the Market Access team to ensure secure broadest access and best positioning possible; leading plans for brand communication, training and campaign rollout at sales cycle meetings; working with communications to ensure professional issues management and media engagement to protect and build the reputation and success of your brand; project management of agencies or vendors and launch tracking and performance reporting to senior leadership.

    • You will also lead in analysing market dynamics and competitor strategies; attending and co-ordinating market research and ensuring customer insight drives our brand strategy and tactic development.
    • You will have many opportunities to influence the projects you will be involved in.
    • As customer centricity is one of our core values you will be required to undertake some domestic and occasional international travel in order for you to really understand our customer needs, the patient pathway and how this is best incorporated into our brand strategy in order that you can deliver and maximise growth and market penetration

    Qualifications

    • You will have a degree or equivalent and preferably have completed a professional marketing qualification. Ideally you will have a current understanding of the Marketing Code of Conduct requirements for all promotional and non-promotional materials and programmes.
    • With previous experience as a pharmaceutical sales representative, in a customer facing role you will also have current and proven successful experience in pharmaceutical product management, ideally with experience of a product launch as well as product lifecycle management including a portfolio planning.
    • As a marketer, you are expected to be a brand champion so you must be able to maintain high levels of therapeutic and clinical knowledge, and understanding of the market access environment and process.
    • We expect you to be a highly motivated self-starter with a strong drive to take the initiative and responsibility for your deliverables and own learning. You proactively address and solve problems and make recommendations to the business for changes and improvements to plans. You are an excellent collaborator and team player who bring ideas, creativity and new thinking to the team and are supportive of brand managers working alongside you helping them to grow and benefit from your experience.
    • You are methodical and structured in your work with excellent project management skills, the capability to manage several projects at the same time and flexibility to quickly adjust if priorities change or work is needed last minute. In fact, you thrive in a busy environment, bringing a healthy sense of humour to work even when the pressure is on.
    • Finally, you have excellent interpersonal skills, professional and personal impact. You are passionate and confident in communication of your brands strategy, positioning, key messages and clinical data, and competent at analysis with the ability to digest comprehensive market and customer information and findings into concise insight with the ability to communicate these concisely to internal stakeholders.
