    Category Manager

    Key Responsibilities

     

    • Own catalogue strategy ensuring local relevance and effectiveness to drive end to end adoption
    • Manage the product catalogue: influence global catalogue / continually refine local offers to maximize growth and delivers financial goals
    • Drive development of channel distribution coverage with correct offerings (platforms/configurations/price/tools) for commercial product offerings
    • Drive & own catalogue content strategy, adoption and refresh accuracy
    • Be a Dell product evangelist for the region, both internally and externally
    • Deliver innovation that disrupts the competition and delights customers

       

    Essential Requirements

     

    • Prior experience in category management within the IT industry
    • Clear understanding of external market, competition and channel dynamics
    • Strong analytical skills and use of data to inform decisions (IDC / Context / GfK, etc)
    • Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of market & product trends, opportunities and the competitive landscape
    • Excellent communication & presentation skills
    • Lead with optimism & a “can do” attitude.
    • Be an effective ambassador for South Africa
