To provide a high quality, efficient design and development of products applications/interfaces using SAT COS in the Rail Industry.

What are the responsibilities of the role?

• To design and develop products, applications or interfaces that add value or market competitiveness to systems developed by
• Siemens Transportation Systems.
• To refine the modelling of existing products and applications or interfaces such as interlocking, level crossings, axle counters, passenger information’s systems and control centre applications to the local environment and in line with accepted rail philosophy, standards and the customer approval process
• To assist with drawing up or evaluating customer specifications.
• To be able to analyze the customer requirements and provide effective and competitive applications or solutions that can be offered to the customer
• Testing of new products and/or releases of systems and software at customer sites or Siemens premises.
• Attend service calls and provide support (incl. telephone) for all products of TS and including admin requirements.
• To ensure that all documentation and software notes is saved in the document management system (Configuration Management)
• Support other team members by working harmoniously and cooperatively
• with all colleagues
• Travel to and from Siemens Head Office, manufacturing site, project and customer sites if needed.

What Do I Need To Qualify

• Experience in configuration control and management of Software Completed
• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (LC)
• Must have Fibre & Networking experience
• 1 – 3 years experience in software engineering
• Previous Signalling Experience is advantageous
