Role Description:
This is a 6-month contract in where which the daily activities will focus on those related to financials in the business. Please note that this role does not fall within the Financial Services Strategy practice, but rather within Group Services team. The successful incumbent will be of assistance to an already existing finance team. They will also report to the Chief Operating Officer at Genesis Analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing financial data
- Posting journal entries
- Invoicing and reconciliation
- Administration and filing
- Finalizing month-end financial reports
- Auditing processes and procedures
- Supporting with payments and financial processes
- Ad-hoc duties
Requirements:
- Sound knowledge and understanding of Finance and Accounting
- Must have completed a BCom Degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or anything related
- Honours qualification is advantageous
- Advanced MS Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Excellent attention to detail
- Reliable and dependable
- Sound problem-solving and judgement
- Professional and confidential approach to dealing with sensitive information
