    Business Development Manager

    Job description

    • Through a process of cold canvassing for New Business and responding to leads, grow Hyphen’s client base and volumes based on predefined targets.
    • Grow and retain a portfolio of clients through solutions based selling and relationship management.
    • Interact with clients at both an operational as well as strategic relationship level in order to ensure retention and to capitalise on cross or up-sell opportunities.
    • Work closely with Hyphen’s collaboration partners in providing innovative solutions to our joint clients e.g. technology companies and banks.
    • Gain a deep understanding of Hyphen’s financial solutions suite and core value proposition as it applies to new prospects.
    • Propose solutions to clients based on analytical consultation with clients on ways in which we are able to enhance their financial administration, payment & receipting processes through the use of our solutions or via new innovation.
    • Develop and maintain a sales funnel according to Hyphen’s defined standard and provide regular progress feedback to line management.
    • Gain a deep awareness of client requirements, competitor activity and provide proactive feedback to Hyphen product management.
    • Program manage the client take-on process with the assistance of a dedicated implementation specialist.
    • Maintain client data and documentation e.g. contracts, pricing letters etc.
    • Submit monthly reports.
    • May be required from time to time to assist with activities or projects outside of normal job description based on unique skill sets that the applicant may possess.

    SKILLS

    • Ability to communicate and articulate at ALL levels.
    • Well developed report writing and documentation skills are essential.
    • Good listener.
    • Well developed analytical skills in order to assess and translate client requirements.
    • Able to prepare and deliver high quality presentations to senior executives in organisations.
    • Well organized and structured in administration.
    • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office -Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
    • Excellent understanding of the Payments Industry.
    • Excellent understanding of financial administration and control processes employed by companies in the reconciliation and allocation of payments and receipts.
    • Ability to operate at an operational as well as strategic level when dealing with clients.

    EXPERIENCE

    • 5-10 years Payment Industry / e-Commerce environment
    • Proven track record with Client Relationship Management and ERP / Systems based selling ranging from medium to very large companies.

    Role Profile Match info:

    Service, retain and grow a portfolio of clients Achieve revenue targets by either growing a portfolio of existing clients (optimising revenue opportunities) or by acquiring new clients. Define a portfolio growth strategy in line with predetermined growth targets, which are determined on an annual basis. Prepare business proposals and participate in client solutions workshops. Based on exposure to clients needs and competitor offerings, innovate new value propositions. Oversee the client take-on processes together with implementer and project manager for implementation projects within new and existing clients. Interact with clients on a strategic as well as operational level in order to maximise cross sell opportunities and strengthen relationships. Liaise with Customer Relationship Executives allocated by respective banks for services being provided to clients by those banks. Maintaining client data Complete client documentation. May be required from time to time to contribute to activities or projects outside of normal job description based on unique skill sets.

    QUALIFICATIONS

     

    • Relevant Degree and Diploma.
    • 4+ years related experience.
