    Description

    We are looking for Operations Unite Manager to be based in South Africa, Durban

    Your responsibilities

    • Endorse the HSE Policy, assume overall responsibility for HSE within their scope and accountable for HSE performance and monitor meaningful HSE targets aligned with Bombardier HSE Vision
    • Responsible for series production & Operations representation in Project
    • Ensures high standards of productivity, process stability and quality, makes sure projects are manufactured on time, quality and cost
    • Ensures OU employees on all levels are inspired to reach high standards by self-directed team work, sound resource planning and competence development is in place, lean techniques, toolboxes, programs and processes are consistently deployed throughout the OU
    • Provide daily Leadership and where ‘remote’ OU provide a daily escalation route to all production facing functional representatives
    • Maintains a solid base for shop floor management by ensuring that all functions (Production, Methods, Planning, Quality) collaborate smoothly.
    • Accountable for Workforce planning interfacing with the Lead site
    • Has budgetary, personnel and disciplinary responsibility

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience
    • Broad knowledge of manufacturing & quality processes, tools, documents. Technical understanding. IT-systems, HSE, SMB, BOS. Management by KPIs. Understanding of Project Management and financials.
    • Thorough understanding of Production and all interfacing functions in a project. Recommended: min 6 months working experience in Quality and Methods or Production Control. Labour relations and shop floor management. Value stream analysis.
    • Strong communication skills to negotiate internally and externally at high levels
