Job Description

Santam Direct has a position available in their COMMERCIAL team for a Client Service Consultant who will be based in Bellville . The Client Service Consultant will offer world class products and services to clients, whilst achieving targets in an inbound and outbound call centre environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing expert advice to clients to ensure that we meet with clients’ needs in terms of the correct cover and product.
• Provide quotations to new and prospective clients.
• To negotiate and implement risk reduction requirements.
• To adhere to the underwriting criteria and regional requirements as well as profiling the client as to the best product suitable, underwriting etc.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric Certificate or equivalent qualification
• Compliance with FAIS Fit & Proper criteria i.e. minimum experience and competency requirements, which can be obtained while working under supervision
• RE5 Certificate
• 1-2 years commercial/business insurance experience (advantageous)
• Previous experience within a contact center
• Fluent in English and 1 other official South African language
• Clear criminal and credit record
• Willing to work shifts as well as overtime
