Job Description

Purpose of the Job:

• KPMG Services (Pty) Ltd is looking for an Associate Director to lead and deliver IT Transformational strategic programmes and projects to clients as part of our CIO Advisory Group
• The role is focused on assisting clients with the design and implementation of transformational strategies, execution roadmaps, governance structures, policies, processes, procedures and controls across the IT and business lifecycle. The role also entails assisting clients with the design and execution from design through to post migration of large system implementation projects.
• The role requires previous end-to-end experience in large scale ERP system implementations as a Programme lead or as a Senior in the Programme office from an IT and data perspective.
• Prior experience in ERP system implementations is a prerequisite for the role.

Key Job Duties Or Responsibilities

Responsibilities will cover a wide variety of advisory roles in the IT Transformation domain covering:

• Participate in the selling and delivery of Transformational Solution Offerings.
• Assist in driving the KPMG IT Transformation “go to market” strategy
• Assist in building the IT Transformation (i.e. people, processes, knowledge and systems) capability
• Participate in the development of specific activities, process and methods for defining or assessing transformational programmes for business and/or IT.
• Provide guidance and leadership to client teams, individuals.
• Lead the delivery of transformational solutions and teams to clients
• Develop KPMG’s transformational technical solutions and service offerings to the market
• Provide strategic oversight and guidance to client executives through the execution of System implementation projects and programmes

Qualifications And Experience

• Tertiary degree from a recognised university
• Experience addressing technology and strategic issues in large organizations
• Experience in developing IT Transformational strategies, delivery models, organisation design, and governance structures and processes.
• Experience in leading or playing a leading role in large scale IT system implementation programmes/ projects
• Experience in all aspects of the IT system development life cycle and business transformation initiatives
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Experience working with senior level managers and executives
• Business acumen within one or more business verticals is an asset – especially financial services, telecoms, public sector, healthcare or mining.
• Consulting experience is a major asset.
