    Sales Account Manager

    Job Description

    With our vast array of Colors for the cosmetics and industrial industry you will develop new sales within key customer accounts. The Account Manager will be part of the South African commercial team and reports directly to the General Manager. We have various internal support structures established to help ensure your success. In addition you will lead the office and warehouse team.

    Responsibilities

    • Selling value-added solutions and ingredients within the Cosmetics & Industrial industry
    • Creatively growing existing business and obtaining new customer accounts
    • Effectively developing and expanding a strong customer relationship at all relevant levels
    • Handling large accounts and partner with decision makers for innovative new product development projects
    • Developing, implementing, and managing account-specific strategies
    • Delivering accurate short and medium term sales planes and forecasts based on analysis with regard to sales, cost, markets, new business development and customers
    • Contributing information to market strategy by monitoring competitive products and reactions from accounts
    • Leverage Sensient's internal resources such as marketing, product development, technology & innovation, manufacturing and distribution

    Education & Experience

    • A minimum of 10 years of successful business and B2B sales experience in the Cosmetics or Chemical industry
    • A Bachelor Degree in Economics, scientific discipline, i.e. chemistry or similar education
    • Ability to manage significant business opportunities to grow the company’s position as the leader in its field
    • Very good English and Afrikaans language skills (fluent in spoken and written), other additional language proficiencies are an advantage
    • Excellent communication skills, experience in working both autonomously as well as in a team
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks in an effective manner
    • Willing and able to travel to multiple customers throughout the assigned territory.
