    IT Customer Support Technician

    Job Description

    The Customer Support Technician is responsible for providing professional end user support to our customers, applying a high degree of customer service, and technical accuracy, to resolve and complete customer service requests within the agreed time frame/s. This includes installing, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all software and hardware (including but not limited to PC/laptops, printers, mobile devices, switches and wireless access points ) to ensure optimal workstation performance. The individual will provide support in person, by telephone, or via remote access.

    Experience/skill required:

    • MSCA/MCISE certification will be advantageous
    • Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in resolving software and hardware problems
    • Minimum 2-4 years experience in an IT services environment
    • Minimum 1year experience working on a call logging system (Connectwise will be advantage)
    • Advanced Hardware support (Desktops/Laptops, Phones/Tablets, Printers/Scanners, Projectors/VC)
    • Intermediate Software (MS Windows, MS Office, Mac OS X, iOS, Android, BlackBerry)
    • Intermediate User Administration support (AD, Exchange, File/Folder)
    • Intermediate User Administration (AD, Exchange, File/Folder)
    • Intermediate Messaging & Collaboration (MS SQL(install/admin), Office 365, Exchange, Lync, SharePoint (install/admin), Mimecast)
    • Intermediate Infrastructure (DC Facilities, Consulting )
    • Intermediate Networking experience (Switching, Wireless, Routing/VPNs, Firewalls (SonicWALL enterprise), Remote access via client VPNs)
    • Intermediate Server & Storage experience (Local, Shared, Azure, Hyper-V, VMware, AD/DNS/DHCP, File/Print/DFS,IIS, RDS, ADFS/ADCS/NPS, WSUS, WDS)
    • Intermediate Messaging & Collaboration (Office 365, Exchange, Lync, Mimecast)
    • Intermediate Information Integrity (Backups, IT DR, Archiving, Anti-virus)

    The job role will require stand-by work.

    Each candidate must have a valid South African Drivers licence and personal vehicle.
