    Business Analyst Team Lead

    Job Description

    Business Requirement Elicitation (solution or project or process):

    • Ability to conduct JAD sessions internally and with external clients
    • Business Process Engineering
    • Feasibility and Needs Analysis
    • Due Diligence and Gap Analysis
    • Costing and sizing of requirement
    • Business Requirement Analysis & Documentation
    • Test pack and execution of Functional Testing
    • UAT test execution and support during UAT
    • Provide training content and facilitate training for end –users on new business processes and changes on existing processes

    Consulting:

    • Problem Resolution and Troubleshooting
    • Provide support to business in implementing effective and efficient solutions
    • Impact analysis in terms of processes
    • Liaise with the IT teams for process / system changes
    • Work with business unit managers to assist in delivering of BAU and new projects
    • Interaction with administration clients to become a knowledge expert on the business.
    • Liaison and / or coordinate with Silica and client project team members i.e. project managers, IT resources and developers with regards to implementing a requirement
    • Become the owner of business rule or process changes in the Silica Platform business unit.
    • Gain a good understanding of the solutions that service the specific domain.
    • Gain a general understanding of the financial industry and relevant business sectors serviced by Silica
    • Gain a strong understanding of all Silica business units and solutions

    Technical / Special Requirements (PC Skills / Product Knowledge / Specific Competencies)

    Knowledge Required (preferable):

    • Knowledge of financial industry administration, including and understanding of finance, legal, web and compliance
    • Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the role of an analyst.
    • Knowledge of the financial industry.
    • Knowledge of the Agile methodology advantageous
    • Experience with software implementation projects.
    • Experience with working in IT project teams.
    • Experience with documentation of requirements (including gap analysis and feasibility studies)

    Skills Required:

    • Good communication skills (written and verbal) and presentation skills
    • Ability to liaise with business, IT project team members and external clients
    • JAD facilitation skills
    • Good documentation skills
    • Proficiency in MS Office
    • Business process modeling packages

    Prior Work Experience / Background:

    Knowledge of the financial industry
    Experience with working in IT delivery/project teams
    Business Analysis / product owner qualification preferred
    Educational Requirements (Educational / academic qualifications)
    Minimum matric qualification essential
    Business Degree or Diploma (in related industry) is preferable
    Formal business analysis training
    Agile fundamentals is preferable
    DevOps fundamentals is preferable
    Product owner qualification is preferable.
