    Country Manager

    Job description

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

    Accountable for leading, directing and managing site operations within South Africa to ensure consistent high level service quality and client satisfaction, profitable cost efficient operations, and compliance with company policies and procedures and other regulatory guidelines. Reviews operating budgets for revenues and expenses and monitors compliance to contracts. Strong sales background required to assist with supporting sales for the region.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Lead, direct and manage site operations to ensure that the operations staff executes service agreements at, or above the client’s standards.
    • Maximise profitability through superior client service, effective and prompt communications and follow-up on all pending matters with the client.
    • Plan and monitor daily staffing schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels that support operational demands and business objectives
    • Working with management to build a dynamic sales organization
    • Manage revenue and expenses to budget constraints
    • Responsible to train, develop and motivate employees to peak performance and growth in their knowledge and responsibilities
    • P&L Responsibility - Ability to manage the financial aspects of the department (purchasing, budget preparation and review, financial reporting and monitoring expenses)
    • Ability to negotiate with both airlines and suppliers
    • Ensure compliance in line with company and industry policies
    • Working closely with key internal colleagues, exceptional interpersonal skills will be required with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels, both internally and externally

    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Willing to travel
    • High level understanding of 3PL and 4PL, outsourcing logistics,

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Aviation Security

    • Knowledge of Dangerous goods handling
    • Understanding FCPA Regulations
    • Understanding of International Trade Regulations

    CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENCES

    • Educated to a good standard
    • Relevant industry certification and experience to support the necessary skills required for the role
